Okay so i started my Merc the other day for a little stroll with the door open and i hear a puttering. So then i look underneath and feel around the pipes and right where the H-pipe and the down pipe right behind the second cat meet is a little exhaust leak. So as anyone would do i think the gaskets are dried out and need replacing. So i tried to unbolt the pipe and of course all the bolts break, which is okay cause i bought grade 8 stainless replacements for easier take off next time :D and found out the gaskets are like a crumbled cookie. So my question here is does anyone know if the gaskets are the same for both side and symmetrical i would say cause i called the auto parts store and they said they found a gasket for the left side but not the right.....so if they are the same clearly ill buy 2 lefts and they will work fine. Thanks.

if its just the flange gaskets you are looking for they are the ones that used on the 03 crown vics, for some reason they are never listed correctly. autozone has them
felpro part number 60924

I found this a good post. Even though it's a bit of an aged post, I'd like to add something... Don't get the Felpro part marked for the Marauder, #61203 (seen it from various merchants including Pep Boys and Rock Auto). It's too big to fit our pipes. I found that out last weekend. Now I know which part to actually purchase.
