I am in a desperate situation right now. I'm stuck in South FLorida due to my Marauder's engine losing oil pressure the other day. I was driving and I heard a loud ticking sound coming from the head area. As I got off the Interstate the engine lost oil pressure and stalled on me. I checked oil and the hoses and everything seemed ok but as I nursed the car back to the place I'm staying she rode like heck and stalled on me repeatedly. At the end of my drive a bunch of codes came up and these are it, P1336, P2198, P0401, P0316, P0306, P0307, P0308. Basically cylinders 6,7 and 8 are misfiring and a couple of the codes didnt come back with what they were. So the engine has 175,000 miles on it and I will replace it later. I just need to see if there is anything I can do to make it run a little better so I can get by in a 5 to 10 mile radius while I work to buy another car. I dont care about saving the engine cause with that much mileage and the sound it makes it would cost more or as much as getting a used one that runs better. All I need is for it to run a little better and keep it from stalling all the time so I can get back and forth to work without using taxicabs. If anybody knows anyway I can achieve this then please let me know. Any info will be greatly appreciated. Thanks

I'm in Hollywood Florida. Yea I know but she has oil pressure now. The engine is definitely on its last leg with one foot in the grave. I just want to hop with the other foot for about two weeks and get around if I can. lol

Fill it with some heavier engine oil, like 20w50, or straight up 50-weight if you have that in your parts. Check the oil level after every trip. If you don't have a big oil leak, add some oil stabilizer. Id you do, don't bother.
Minimize the number of trips you take - vital trips only; start taking public transit to work. Keep the rpms low.
Ignore the engine codes.
Remove the air cleaner (for  chits and grins) and hope she runs.

I did this with my first car. A small oil leak turned into a big one after a long trip, crankcase ran dry and the engine stalled. Added oil and made it home, but the damage was done. The knocking was severe. The power was reduced so much the heavy car would barely move. Kept adding 20w50 and got a handful of trips out of it. It was a carbureted 351w though, so there was no computer that had to co-operate.

Good luck! You're going to need it.
