Nice vid...

Anyone found an 18 in drag slick, or what 16 will fit this car?

We use the Nitto 555R Extreme Drag Radials.

There UNREAL, last longer then the BFG's with ease and look amazing as well.

Sounds like something to debate again in the spring of '03, by then my MM will need real tires aft. Ya think I'll have to change out the fronts too? I don't expect them to be as worn as the rears by then.

Thanks, Onebad, appreciate the info...

Fronts should be fine and your quite welcome. I am here to help.

There's no way a 305/45/18 is fitting underneath marauder. There's less than an inch of clearance inboard before you're slamming into the shock. To mount a 305, you need at least a 9.5" rim, which on marauder, would be sticking out either side of the vehicle by a good inch and a half, never mind the tire slammin up into the quarter panel over every bump.

I'm thinking 255/45/18's all the way around (Potenza Pole Position S-03's $192 each from tire rack). What do you think Logan, any fitment problems?

Try the Pirelli PZERO ASIMMETRICOs. They are quieter than stock and hold up better than you can imagine...

227 a piece at the rack and worth it

There is not as much real clearance between the inboard side of the tire and the shock bracket as you would at first think. In roll most of the apparent clearance goes away. A good trick is too put modeling clay on the bracket and try some really hard cornering. However much clay is left equals one half the MAXIMUM additional tire width you can use. Don't automatically assume both sides are the same. You may also want to try the same trick on the quarter panel openings.

Pantherman... Exactly. There's maybe an inch there now, which is just enough to account for body roll under hard cornering, nevermind stickin' no 11" wide tire under there... :)

Well, he did say that they would "fit like a glove," just don't make a fist...

That tire could bring a whole new meaning to the phrase "smoke'm"
