If he still has 'em, they should work. IIRC, the older Cobra intake cams have a different profile, but the exhaust cams are the same.

I'm in NH and have two complete stock Marauder camshaft sets (4 Ex and 4 In) for the Marauder. Used, but, in perfect condition. Will give away for free if you pick up.
You're sure it's the camshaft itself and not a valve though? Just checking!

well, after looking at my exhaust cam it's scorned pretty bad on cylinder #7 along with the roller rocker. what's the best way to connect. I can give you my cell # if you wan to give me a call 617-835-3999 or if you want to e-mail me your # i can give you a call, wgardner@summitpress.com
Does anyone know when the cam go bad is it the roller rocker that goes bad and causes the scoring on the camshaft , or are they just bad cams?

Just saw your response, Ill give you a call tomorrow. I wonder if the hydraulic lash adjuster is clogged. That is supposed to oil the roller rocker. Unless there is some metal debris that got in between the cam and roller somehow. I have 32 good working used roller rockers and 32 lash adjusters too. They're spares. Let me know if you need a couple of each too.

Not a problem and I'm glad I could help! Sorry I couldn't be there to meet you in person, but, getting use of the camp on Bear Island at Winnipesaukee was a no-brainer. Rain held off Saturday and Sunday was beautiful most of the day. Good luck and let us know how she turns out!

What are the symptoms you're having?

it started 10K miles ago i had a misfire in #8 and low compression, we took that head out and sent it off to the machine shop, it looked like a burnt valve in the cylinder. put it all back together with a nice new machined head and valves and all went well for about 10K miles. i ended up with the same misfire feeling and found the code to be #7 this time and low compression. took off the valve cover and had the cam and roller rocker in that cylinder was scorned bad and figured that was my problem. put it all back together and drove ok for about 15 minutes and back with the misfire, i now have low compression in #7 & 8???

car finally back together and running, i also did the cooling mod at the same time, found that not only did i have a bad exhaust cam and roller rocker the valve guides on #7 & #8 both loosened up after 11,000 miles with the head that was just done. Hopefully i'll get to drive for a while.
Again thanks Bill, i replaced my cam shafts since your looked better than what i had, and had to buy a few more rockers but you helped out a great deal, which is why i like this site.

That's awesome! I'm glad she's running again. You should come by for the MM meet in NH next year. This year was my first and it was a lot of fun. 18 Marauders!
