View Full Version : Noah car cover warning

I pulled the cover off the Black car a few days ago after it sat for most of the Winter/Spring/Summer and noticed the cover has begun to wear away the clear coat on the headlight lens and it has left small scratches in the paint where it hits the car on the hard angles (horizontal to vertical). Not a happy camper about this. Might be able to polish out the paint scratches but the headlight will need to be replaced at some point. I say replace as the car only has 19K so it hasn't begun to fade yet.

The Noah cover also allows a lot of very fine dirt to seep through which is what ultimately must be scratching the paint.

Think I'm just going to put a good coat of wax on it and go with that.

Stupid Noah car cover

I posted in someone else's question about a car cover.
I had a Noah cover made, put it on the car right after a major paint correction and sure enough it left micromarring across the front and rear bumpers.
I went with a Sunbrella cover, I had one on the Mark 8 and tried the Noah cover when i bought the MM, used it once and sent it back and got another Sunbrella.
Never leaves a mark, even after a good blow. Works awesome out in the sun too.

Not to sound stupid or anything but I assume your car sits inside and covered...just wondering if some of us in better climates cover the car outside and the dirty is getting thru due to weather...

i've been through about 4 differet covers in 10 years all either scrach or disintgrated. i just sent back a wethersheald hp cover becase the material is breaking down it has a 4yr. warinty so there replaceing it. however it's the only cover that didn't scrach. i live in ny where the winters can be harch. the covers that scrach i was able to have my body guy buff them away. i wouldn't go with no cover cause the uv rays are what really fade the paint, wish my garage wasn't an apt.

I can say covercraft is a real good product, used them for years no problems out in the elements, even with our 113+ temps mixed with rain.

Still am but that's life. I am of the opinion that if your car is in a garage and out of the weather and you don't use it much a simple dust cover would probably be fine. With all the movement the outside cover does, over time it just took its toll. Really just disappointed as the cover wasn't inexpensive and got good reviews from supposed users.

Note to self: next house must have a big garage or nice barn/outbuilding.
