I have installed the killer chiller on the 2000 Forba ( Cobra clone) first before the Mauarder gets it...... here are what took place....
first remove the headlights and front bumper off the car....
at this point I removed the front bumper and started to trim the bumper to fit the killer chiller...

After 2.5 hours and a plie of styrofoam......
http://i156.photobucket.com/albums/t28/hotford/photo-58.jpg
Next was to fit the bumper back on.....

I removed the factory aluminum cooler lines and went with 3/4 hose for easier routing.
http://i156.photobucket.com/albums/t28/hotford/photo-59.jpg
I then removed the evap line to condenser, installed the new line out from condenser to killer chiller, out from killer chiller to evap, insulated all the a/c lines.

I then added 3 OZ of pag oil to the system, installed a Vaccum pump to suck the system down, waited ten mintues afterwards to insure that system held a Vaccum, I then filled the system with R134A about 2.2 lbs, and fired the car up.
The temp outside today locally was 88-90 degrees and with the a/c on the cars inside temp at idle was low 50 degrees.... they do say that cabin temp may rise about 3 degrees higher than what she normally runs at....
http://i156.photobucket.com/albums/t28/hotford/photo-67.jpg
I open the reservoir cap and checked with a laser surface temp reader and this is whats she was at.
http://i156.photobucket.com/albums/t28/hotford/photo-66.jpg
Yes a cool 61 degrees and remember thats the water temp after she has cycled through the intercooler.......
My next step is to install a bypass for the heat exchanger as this will drop the temp down another 15-20 degrees........Track use only......
Off to lidios this thursday for a retune and see what she can handle on/off the DYNO, I will be monitoring both IAT temps to and from lidios with the a/c on and off to see the difference and as well as when were on the DYNO and street driving.....
I also installed a 5 inch cold air and relocated the Mass air, the up stream air flow in the fender is almost 100 degrees cooler than sucking all that under hood heat.
looks like the Marauder kit will go on alot easier than the mustang kit as we have alot more room up front to mount the killer chiller

From Killer Chiller's FAQ;
Will this system effect my in cab temperatures?
You will see about an average of 5-7 degrees increase in the in cab temps under optimum conditions, but you can also adjust the refrigerant level to have more cooling in the cab, and less in the KC, by the same token you can adjust your refrigerant levels to see more cooling in the KC , and less in the cab.

I know some tracks (Like NED) won't allow you to run any A/C while in line or making a run because of the water condensation ending up on the track. Better to not mention it at the track I suppose. ;)

Ok here some results from the K/C unit.........
crusin in weather of 80 degrees F the IAT temps without the K/C was 110 at highway speeds, goosed here from 60 miles an hour to 130 mph, IAT temps went to 140, turned on the K/C and within 4-5 mins the the temp droped to a crusin spped of 88 degrees f,, again i took here up from 60-130 mph and inlet temp reached 108 f.
I reached lidio's with the K/C on and as soon as i arrived I opened the water tank reservoir and took a water temp reading 64 degrees F.
I must say that the water was very cold to the touch and the tank was nice and cold, lidio came out and was suprised to see how the system works.
Dyno time........
we frist baselined the car without the K/C on the inlet temps on the dyno started off at 104 and reached 118 on the dyno, car baselined 584 rwhp......
we did two runs with thw second being 585 rwhp for consistency....
A/F was a little fat at the top 10:1 from 5k-6500.
we took some fuel out and got her to 11:1 wot and she cleaned up and made 590 rwhp.
Now for the K/C results
turned it on within 3-5 mins water temp was at went down to 64 degrees
IAT temp was at 88 degrees when we started out and went up to 102 on the dyno.
we ended up at 601rwhp. we then adaed 1 degree of timing as the cooler temps( not being greedy we didnt crank the timing), ran her up again, letting her idle for 3 mins inlet temps started at 90 and went to a max of 106......she ended up at 609 rwhp.
I did noticed the last pull the water temp was alittle hotter 74 when we did the last pull and the a/c in the car wasnt as cold........
after the last pull I noticed the A/C compressor was cycling pretty quick and found the system to have a leak at the compressor and this ended the test results as the system depleted the freon.....DAME!!!!!!!
all in all the K/C did pick up power and was happy with the results... number would show higher with a stick car as mine is an auto(4R70W, stock torque convertor).
Now to fix the leak and head to the track.........

This was the cobra clone.......22 psi........I can run more boosr but Im gonna walk before I run...........gonna track it first.........The Marauger will be next.......
The car last year made 540 rwhp and ran 10.89@126 mph on 18 inch drag radials @ 3900+lbs with driver..........

Yes so am I, last year the car had a 2.4 K/B and made 540RWHP,ran a best of 10.89,Im hoping to run 10.4s with this set up on 18 inch drag radials........
will see..............

I was thinking about adding an aluminum tank with removable drain plug for track use if I pursue this route.

Not enough HP to justify the weight, install, and cost. You could put a Nitrous kit on for less and get 4x the power.
justbob

Depends on your climate. I for one would have no interest in increased HP, instead i just want a car that doesn't pull timing. Especially a 15 minute drive followed by a stop at the store causing even more heat soak just sitting. Return to the car and she just doesn't have that instant peppiness she had when you first fired her up.
Too many hot days go by in the burbs of Chicago making the car kind of a bore to take out.
I would have bought one long ago, but unfortunately I change my thoughts on the direction I want the next build to go way too often.

I was hoping to maybe install this in the spring or go with a Dual Pass HE and add fans. Before I do I was wondering if you had put this on your MM yet or had any updates?
Thanks

Thanks for the link Roger. I'm hoping to make a decision between the KC or a new HE this week. I am looking at a HE but have to get Jeff or Brandon at Marty's to do some measuring to make sure it'll work. If it does it's gonna be sweet! I'm just not sure on the KC due to the pull on the AC. :coolman:

thread revival!
Was this set up ever installed in Marauder? by anyone reading?
Mine is in a box in the garage, waiting for winter to end for installation.
Kincaid says at track, you can have intercooler tank chilled, shut off A/C then make your pass. Temp will not heat up that fast, condensation issue solved.
Turn A/C back on and cool before next pass, repeat - or pay much more for the drag kit with cabin bypass ability.
Nope.
Any Marauder killer chiller install experience appreciated....
There are a few guys who have them.
They sell special tape at the hardware store that keeps all condensation in.
Just install it

Oh, I plan to ASAP before driving next spring. I am surprised it is not more common, with the constant increased IAT and boost thrown at our stock bottom ends.
BTW - thank you for posting about it in other threads
I did my homework, waited for a deal on SVT = no brainer.
My curiousity is in the fitment - Kincaid said I might have enough room to leave my bumper foam alone, and mount the unit with brackets.
I'll post up the install pics - in 6 cold months!:mad2:

never got around to the maruader.....lol too many other projects,my brothers car still running it and we switch up to E 85, after a retune with the pump gas the car ended up at 635 rwhp through the 4r70w trans, with just the fuel swap on e 85 and retune of course, it made 704rwhp, car has since gone 10.1@136 on 18 inch drag radials in full street trim.
If you have the means to run E 85 I highly recommend it!!

There is no bumper foam on the Marauder.
You will have to custom mount it.
Also, you may be short on the length of AC line supplied with the KC.

I thought not, and asked if the Lightning kit would be better fit for lines, he said Cobra kit.
I passed on $45 bracket he sells, my guy will custom fit as you said. Thanks.

that's good. I'll be street use with maybe a track pass just to see, so with insulated lines as Zack suggested, I should be fine.
Can't wait to see IAT below 100 degrees! It made huge difference on my centri blower car, keeping the charge cool. I just want the peace of mind, and less lag after a hard pull building heat. Thanks
I will add to this thread when we do the install.
