View Full Version : strange noise when turning key over from glove box area

:confused: this may be a very very dumb question but when i turn my key over when starting my MM i hear a kinda like sucking noise coming from behind the glove box area
is this the fuel pump coming on?:confused:
is this normal or could if be something about to go bad on me ? ......
of yea PLEASE no one make fun of me for asking such a dumb question...... :bigcry: :lol:

Fuel pump is located INSIDE the gas tank.
The noise you hear is a vacuum motor. Completely NORMAL.

or just after starting maybe coolant flowing in the heater core
Here's a thought, the back wall of the glove box does not go completely to the top and things may spill over into the machinery behind it causing the noise. I found a pair of sunglasses that had spilled over and crushed a vacuum line. Take a look.

yea i ment the fuel pump lines getting pressure lol i know know the fuel pump itself is located inside the gas tank duhh lol that was my fault should have been more pasific...
so yea thats is what i sounds like is a vacumm like getting presure and when turn key over its getting presure it sounds like a make a little noise for like 2 seconds
ok so FBM says its NORMAL ok good stuff glad to hear its not something about to take a dump on me
