You need to take off the driver's side door panel and there is a white sticker on a module with the code printed on it, 5 big numbers. You can use that master code to put other codes in.

You can also just take the car to the dealer and they can tell you the code by hooking the car up to their computer. Some will charge to do this others will just do it for you. Also some times the dealers put the sticker (small white one) on the trunk hinges.

When I first bought my car, I took it to the local FLM dealer and they wanted $75 to get it. Took 15 minutes for me to get it on my own.

Best bet is to get it off the RKE module inside the driver's door. The stickers that we got with Phoebe (from a previous owner) were incorrect.
If the PO is being a dick, remember to erase all the stored codes after you find the factory (non-erasable) code...just in case. The procedure is in the owner's manual.

Mine is on a sticker above the radiator support ON the hood, on the drivers side trunk lid, and on the module under the driver side door panel.

Ford says to install the stickers that come with the car: 1- on the module, 1- back of the glove box, 1- trunk.

That sucks!
Why wouldn't he want to give you the code?
Was the car sale a bad transaction?

There was no door code sticker anywhere on my DTR '04 (not under the hood or on the trunk hinges...or under the dash...no place at all) with only 21,000 miles on the vehicle that I bought from the original owner (well, the car dealer where he traded the MM for a smaller Nissan for his grandaughter)...nor was it taped in the Owner's Manual.
I called the Ford dealer in San Marcos, Texas and was told that they could not do any computer check on the car to provide me with the door code because of 'legal issues' since I was not the original owner...even though I 'legally' purchased the car from the Nissan dealer in Wichita Falls, Texas...and of course had paperwork and title to so indicate that I did. Nuts! Never heard of such baloney.
But all the folks on this website provided me with the correct information about how to find the door code...yep...on a piece of paper stuck to the driver's side door behind the door panel...took me about 20 minutes to get it.
Just another bit of valuable information I have gotten here.
