Resonator Delete Tips

I am ready to change the tips on my DTR. What is the diameter of the factory pipe and where do you get a good quality exhaust tip?

stock tips are 3 1/2" Megs makes 4" as well

Forgive me I was inquiring about the inlet to the tip. Is it 2 1/4 or 2 1/2

I thought it was 2 1/4" piping but since mine is stock wait till someone confirms this :)

There is probably going to be a group buy from Cone Engineering (parent company of Meg's) for 4" tips around September/October with shipping coming around November/December.

That was the first thing I did to my 03 when I bought it new. I would not do it again if I had the opportunity. It made VERY little difference in the noise level or quality. If I had it to do again, I would keep the resonator tips and just change the mufflers.

Yes, pretty sure factory inlet is 2 1/4. I have 4 inch Magnaflow res delete tips. They have 3.5 inch tips too, but I'd definitely wait and see if that group buy will happen. I'm switching mine out for the 4 inch coneeg tips.

Tailpipes are 2 1/4 rest of the system is a mere 2" though our brochures says 2 1/4 ,should say say only tailpipes is this size .

Stock tail pipe section is 2 1/2 into the tips, pre muffler is 2 1/4

No tailpipes are 2 1/4 and pre mufflers are 2 inch ,check it out ,1 stmerc,OEM size and less some one installed aftermarket exhaust.
