Hey
Just thought I'd share. I've been running the marauder with the dashdaq for about 6 months. I've currently got a screen watching about 12 computer and subsequent calculated values.
One of the flags I watch is misfire.
Misfire sometimes goes off once an hour, sometimes not for days. Occationally it goes off when on a bumpy road. Particularly milled roads. I think that's because it's partly driven by a knock sensor. Kind of nerve racking when your dashdaq goes 'alert!' out of nowhere, but not a bad thing though.
SO.. on the way home from New Hampshire the other day (sorry I missed the meet BTW) and it is going off every hour. Then every 20 minutes. And as I start to pull into an exit it stays on. I can feel the engine running a little rough. Not bad enough for a check engine but my foot feels it. Foot comes right off the gas pedal. Eeeeeeeek.
Then I remembered. I went with my dad to the very cheapest gas station, a brand I don't recall, in the region. Hmmmm. So fortunately I spot a Shell station. I've used about a half a tank so far. So I fill her back up with 93.
Misfire is gone. It was the cheap gas. 'Misfire' hasn't gone true since.
So not how I expected to use the dashdaq, but it made a pretty good cheap gas detector.
