I think it's easier to replace the entire control arm.

I have not replaced mine on this car; but I agree with Jim - it's always easier just to replace the whole thing than pieces on it.

We do them all of the time here at the shop. If you wish to do them yourself get a ball joint press, they work sweet. This is the set up we use:

It makes quick work of bushings!

Yeah and right after you replace the bushings the ball joint will need replacing, just replace the control arm and be done with it.

Don't believe there is a part number from the rear bushings. You'd have to buy new stock control arms and press them out.
Hmmmmmmm.... my Metco control arm bushings show no sign of wear..... :P

When I changed the rear upper control arm bushings on my DBP, I thought they were Metco arms, so I ordered their bushings that are half delrin half urethane. When I pulled the control arms they did not say Metco anywhere, did Z&M make billet control arms?, The Metco bushings fit, it was a very, very tight fit. I used my vice to press them in. The car rides better than ever.
here is a pic of what I found when I pulled the arms:

Metcos only have a sticker (as far as I know, never really looked for engraving) CHS ??? sold by Sparta looks very similar in their pics IIRC. But no on the Z&M and Heinous has big holes in them.

They have to be Metcos, the only reason I thought they might be a later version on Z&Ms was because I swore I read somewhere that Metco ripped off the design from Z&M

The Z&M's used the bushings from the oem arms. Ones for upper and lower or different sizes.

Maybe you read it somewhere but it isn't true.
Z&M's are tublar steel that use the factory bushings.
Metco's are billet aluminum and they use polyurethane bushings.
2003-2004 Mercury Marauder and Crown Victoria
This Metco Motorsports high performance upper and lower control arm kit is specifically designed for the 2003-2004 Mercury Marauder and Crown Victoria. This kit also fits all vehicles built on the Panther platform from 1998 and up.
Like all Metco control arms, these arms are CNC-machined from 6061-T6511 billet aluminum for unsurpassed strength and precision-fit. The control arms are clear-anodized for long-lasting surface protection.
These arms are installed as a direct replacement for the factory control arms, but offer the benefits of the dramatically stronger billet design and Energy Suspension-brand polyurethane bushings. Each bushing has a grease fitting for long term, noise-free service. Installation of this control arm set results in a much more positive-feeling vehicle, with significant improvement in drag strip traction, cornering, and braking.
The arms require no modifications to the vehicle for installation, and are fully compatible with the factory Air Ride suspension system.
This kit is an original Metco Motorsports design, and like all Metco Motorsports products, is manufactured to precise specifications for perfect fit and maximum durability. As shipped, each lower control arm is CNC-engraved with our company name. Kit includes (4) control arms. Detailed installation instructions are included.

I got my Metco's years ago and the only thing they had was a sticker with I applied and clear-coated over it.

Nothing on my metcos must be the value reinhart edition. Definitely made a difference in the way the car behaves. Don't have experience with the other brands

In general, aluminum/Delrin/steel is the way to go for suspension bushings. Forunately, these are almost always cylindrical in shape which means they are not that hard to machine on a lathe. Even I can do it. If I could get my hands on a lathe . . .
So if you're really looking for a nice upgrade replace the stock uppers and lowers (fronts and rears) with greasable Delrin bearings. No, it's not off the shelf, but with a little effort you can make it happen.
I would be willing to start a group buy if enough people are interested. Either Global West suspensions or a machinist friend of mine are likely candidates to fab the bearings.

Sure, and they'll come with a free set of lowers. :D
Seriously, this isn't Autozone. I'm going to go out of my way to get these fabbed because I have done it before and the results are amazing. It is just as easy, and slightly more cost effective to do a few more sets. But the fabricator and I are not going to be bothered with 1 set of rear uppers or 1 set of front lowers, or just the one for the Watts link . . .
Really, you should buy the set for the whole car and install them as time or other repairs allow. At least that is what I'm going to do.

I already have these on the lower rear - delrin/steel bushings on adjustable rod. Needed to adjust pinion angle after lowering the suspension.

Ah yes, pinion angle adjustment. I have also lowered the rear, just enough to get rid of the factory rake. At some point an adjustable control arm is required, and the bolt-on aftermarket doesn't really address this.
Did you make the adjustable lowers, or assemble them from hot-rod suspension parts? This stuff should be reasonably available, especially for the ubiquitous four-bar suspension.

I welded the threaded ends onto 1 1/4" chromemoly sch 120 tube.
version 1 had hiem joints which worked fine but after a year of DD the started to get a little noisey so I had Tom at Sparta make up the new ends for version 2.
I'm interested in the uppers for my OEM billet arms from the Lincoln TC limo application.

That's what I thought when I saw your parts. Heim joints are precise, when new, but not suited to street cars that actually get driven a lot.

Metco claim they will make a set with Delrin if you want. Can't be done in the front because the bushings don't share a common axis.
