I would like to try the Coopers, but my tire shop doesn't carry them. I am a loyal customer and they always give me a good deal on price and alignments. They do carry Toyo, BFG, Nitto, Firestone, Bridgestone, Michelin, Goodyear, and Fuzion.

I replaced all tires with stock BFG 2 yrs, 10 months ago. I've put 20,000 on them. The rears are fine, I don't do burnouts, but the fronts are about gone on the outer edge, (yes I used Carfixer), but I guess I got carried away on the hard cornering.

Anyway I was looking at either BFG, Nitto or Toyo on the front for replacement soon, The Toyo Proxies come in a lot of different designations. What Toyo do you put on the front?

Also what Nittos are used on the front?

My MM is a DD, so I need a tire that performs well in all seasons, yes, I drive in the snow.

Still deciding.....

I just put Toyo Proxes ST IIs on last week. 255/50 on the rear and 255/45 on the front. So far so good...

I believe the 420 is the most popular for the fronts, and the 555 for the rears, but probably wouldn't be good in snow.

I have those as well..but when they were new they would make a hell of a howl going around corners.. so if thats what you like then be warned you wont be able to sneak around anymore ..

Thats what I ran and I never had any trouble in now or ice.

I guess I haven't driven it hard enough to hear the howl yet. Either that or my exhaust is too loud now! :D

I've been wearing the OEM BFGs up front for nearly 9 years. Still the original alignment with no edge wear at all. I corner fairly hard and the MM rides like it is on rails. No howl, no squeal at all. Consistently 36K miles on the fronts and they get swapped out before the wear indicators start to show.

OEM BFGs on the rears for 7 years with only a 2-year break to try the GoodYear Eagle F1 DS-G3's. BFGs average 21K on the rear. Only 15K with the GoodYears.

On the fronts have them swapped, i.e. "rotated", by dismounting and remounting.

If you drive the car the way it was intended to driven. lots of hard cornering, then you need the factory specs to get nice even front tire wear.

The Nittos 555 handle great one of the best handling tires I ever seen dry and wet , but there is a drawback its listed as a summer tire, so when it gets cold it losses traction also i don't thick it would do good in snow. I dont use my marauder in cold weather or bad weather therefore they work for me.

NITTO NT555 235/5OZR18 FRONT TIRES = same size as stock
NITTO NT555 265/50ZR18 REAR TIRES = .2" shorter but .75" wider more meet

I would not use Nittos in the winter! They are not designed for winter applications.

I just put Coopers on the front, and proceeded to rip off 1500 miles on a two week vacation road trip through Florida.
I am very impressed with the ride/handling/looks of the Coopers and will be adding the rears when my BFGs wear out.

My Toyo Proxy T1's are an awsome summer tire (my Marauder goes away for the winter)! I recomend checkin out a set. I've driven on Toyo T2's, Firehawks and Goodyears and the Toyo's have been the best summer tire.
