Partswise, exactly what is the difference between a California Emissions package MM and a non Cal car?
Do CA cars have an air pump?
Thanks,
David

It is my understanding that there is no difference for the stock Marauder.

another member who has access looked up my vin on the Ford Oasis and tells me that my MM does not have CA emissions. So there is something different for CA.
I checked the CA DMV site and if I understand it correctly, if you bought the car while a resident of another state, they will let you bring the car in if you move to CA.
I didn't read all the details, but I believe they have an exemption for military too.

There are several states that do not require California emissions. I believe N.J. is one. As far as the air pump i don't think they have one.

read the sticker under the hood. while there is an order code for CA emissions, it would seem that all Marauders are ULEV certified and meet or exceed CA emissions requirements

I live in NJ. NJ is a "border state". We border some state that requires CA emissions on all vehicles sold. "Border States" order all of their vehicles with CA emissions systems as well. In the non-border states, most cars come with it anyway, since it's a no charge option.
When buying my MM, I special ordered it with the CA emissions system delete. This package can be found in the Marauder ordering guide that the salesman / dealership has.
As far as parts go, it's just a difference in computer programming. There are no extra external parts. No power is gained through the CA delete, either. The only reason I ordered it like that is because I knew I'd be doing a load of mods to the car. I was afraid the comp might react adversely. Now I know that it doesn't really matter, though.
