Someone probably slammed the lid closed over a cooler or some big piece of luggage and the hinge bent up slightly. Might just try pushing it down carefully. Not sure if there is an adjustment for height at the hinge being it uses some sort of torsion set up to help open. GL.

Take a look where the hinges mount to the lid. You'll see some bolts used for adjustment.

That's more for front to back issues, he has up, down issues which is most likely caused by closing the lid over something to tall. JMHO

Ok, I guess I will need to help.

1) Sit in car and beep horn three times. 2) then run around car counter clockwise while barking like a dog. 3) Open the back door on the passenger side and do a head roll out the window on the driver's side, if window is not already open roll back out the door you entered on. 4) Run around car clockwise quacking like a duck while flapping your arms. 5) If you were able to roll out the window, jump up and drown yelling like a monkey. 6) Do back rolls to the rear of car, open trunk and climb in. 7) close trunk lid with you inside trunk, stay in there for ten minutes, what you do in the trunk at this time, stays in the trunk (TMI). 8) Climb out of trunk and sit in drivers seat and pretend you are Dale Jr at Daytona. 9) do not forget to record this and upload on youtube and post link here.

Guys we are making this harder then it has to be. Simply ajust the air bag up or down on the misalined side, until the trunk lid is lined up.

Now I know from 'sperience that this is your regular routine for getting ready to go for a ride in the car with Chris. How is this routine going to help him fix his trunk?:dunno:
