How many of you guys like the look of the Factory Spoiler? I have purchased a spoiler from my dealer, waiting for it to be delivered.
I was just curious how many people like the look of the spoiler or are satified without it?

I like mine a lot...I've installed 3 for other people as well...
Just curious, how much did you pay from the dealer?

I like mine, the factory one has more of a NASCAR feel, ala a lip, while some have gone and gotten "traditonal" spoliers. Also some have needed to repaint thiers too.

Wow...that's a good price...when I bought mine ($219 from fordpartsnetwork.com), dealers were getting $299 PLUS $100 installation...

I think the factory spoiler looks good if you want a spoiler.
I also think the spoiler interrupts the lines of the MM. The trunk lid has a subtle spoiler and shape that is lost when an "appendage" is added. (Maybe so subtle you don't notice it, hence some feel the need for a spoiler.)
I owned a first generation MR2. I added the spoiler because the rear deck lid was perfectly flat and square. There were no lines or curves on that car only angles.

It was the first aftermarket thing I put on my car. I love it.

Never cared for any spoilers on any car.....What's the point?? :(
The "Clothes Hangers" on the 60's Plymouths and Dodges were functional on the track but UGLY!!!!
NO SPOILER FOR ME!!

I added a factory spoiler and I think it looks great. :D Took about an 1.5 hrs to install. The paint and finish was just ok.

I had a deal from the dealer when I bought the MM and paid $180 for the spoiler. Scott from Team Ford installed the spoiler. The factory spoiler blends in with the lines of the car. I just did not want a spoiler that was too obvious. I have seen other spoilers that do look very nice, but I go for the low-key look. The car attracts enough attention. I came out of Moe's today with my son after lunch (I parked away from the pack) and a suspicious looking guy was parked next to my MM looking intently at the MM wheels. He had his car's trunk open??? I obviously surprised him as he quickly told me how much he admired my car. I better get that Ford Alarm installed soon that I bought months ago.

For 187.00, thats the MM style, or the style they have pictured, which sits on the trunk lid like a wing?

im pretty sure it is the flat MM style. the one in the pic is on a sable i think. the only one ford offers is the flat one as far as i know

I don't much care for the factory one. I got one of the few Roush ones around and really like it. Wish I could get another one for the wife's car.

Thats what killing me...drilling holes in my trunk, well when the spoiler arrives I hope it is all worth it. I was parked the other day next to a MM with the spoiler and looking at the two cars from the rear the one with the spoiler does stand out.
I really do like the look.

Give RFO a call- he LOVES drilling holes in trunks. Here he is supervising my spoiler installation last March and the final results.... :D

The paint quality on the factory spoiler ordered for me was not very good, so the dealer is having it re-painted prior to delivering the car (hopefully this week). I was fortunate because as part of the deal for the car, the dealer gave me the spoiler and installation for free. The only bad part is knowing that my MM is at the dealer waiting for me, but I have to wait for the spoiler re-paint to be finished.

When I checked with the dealer about ordering one for my Silver 04, he said they can be ordered in black, or primer. So for my silver, it would cost $ 200, plus the cost of having it painted by the dealer, and for installation. I didn't get any additional pricing for the paint and install. Although the spoiler looks very nice, I wasn't sure about putting any mony into something "non-functional" , saving that for performance mods.

Well...its called in my book three strikes your out...the dealer ordered my spoiler three times and each time it came in damaged.
The first time it was delivered in primer.
The second time it was delivered with three deep scratches.
The third time it was delivered cracked in two places.
The dealer was very frustrated including myself. I believe in omens and I was undecided about drilling holes in my trunk anyway, so Ford gave me the answer
"No Spoiler" and guess what...I like it better without it.

Your spoiler is the best i have seen, the plus of yours is that the rear emblem is not hidden and has the brake lights

I installed the factory spoiler a while back. It improved the "look" of the car immediately. If nothing else. it gave the car a "let's go!" look that was missing before. Go for it!

I do really like the trunk lip on mine as well (same trunk cept the lights), how it's styled is great.
I do, however, like the spoiler.

At the end of the month, but after the Wauconda Dyno meet.
The shop I dealt with is inundated every March as the auto show is in town and it brings in a ton of business.
Trust me , I'll post pics.
