Hello there,
after 2 years of reading only i decided to register. My Name is Thomas and i live in Switzerland, Europe. My Merc is a 6.2004 black Marauder. As far as i know it's the only Marauder in my country, so i call it the "Lone Merc". It has the Eibach Pro-Kit springs, brake rotors from ebc and green-/redstuff pads, as well as an engine-tune. Sometimes it's very stressful to drive such a large car over here in Switzerland, since streets and parking areas are not prepared for it and everyone is driving those tiny, economic microcars. For that reason i have a second car which is a 91 Toyota MR2. This explains my nickname (M a R auder 2).
Cheers!

Welcome, glad you found the site. What made you buy such a large car for the roads over there?

Thanks for your reply. Well, do i really have to explain why i have this car? Think you all know why...;)
My next projects are:
Getting rid of the inner tire wear up front (hope to find some info on this board) and maybe the 4.10s, but it's maybe not going to happen.

How did you find out about the Marauder? Where did you find it? Was it shipped or was there one local somehow?

I had a Chrysler LHS before. bought from a uscar import. After 2 months or so the timing belt broke and totalled the car. I went back to the seller for complaints and then there was this nice, brand new black Marauder which made me forget the LHS instantly.

Search for Carfixer's alignment specs for your inner tire wear on the forum here. Welcome aboard & enjoy your MM. :congrats:

Hell I didn't even know you could get 'normal' shaped Euro licence plates. Awesome.

I'm in Germany, one out of 3 in the country. And yeah, ALL parking spaces are too small. :D

Congrat and welcome :welcome1: to the MM.Net.
Where at in Switzerland? I have driven a full sized American car to Berne, Interlaken and Grindelwald. Not a problem at all. In fact, I never had a problem anywhere in Europe at all in 6 years. I'd love to have my Marauder out on the A5 or the A8 in Germany.

Thanks to everyone for the warm welcome and all your comments and questions.
Speziell grüsse ich auch die deutschsprachigen Marodöre unter euch.
My Marauder is actually a canadian model with the very useful kmh speedo. It was initially sold by a Linc/Merc dealer in Fayetteville AR and first registered in Hollywood CA from where it was sent to Switzerland and had 1 previous owner here. I bought it in 2010 with 30k on the clock and it now has 40k.
About the numberplates: We are not part of the european union and have our own laws and numberplate sizes...luckily. We also can (and I do) run 2 cars with the same set of plates.
Thanks and have a good time!
some more pics from both cars:
