The first car has a 5.0 stroker! The DTR has an eaton swap and the SB and myself are TRILOGIZED!!! :drive:

I need a blower STAT! These burn outs are sweet...what kind of tires are on the DTR? That thing starts churnin out yellow smoke instantly!!!!

One question, you can hear the cars shifting into second and the engine dogs a little...is there a reason not to manually shift the car into 1st and hold the rpms down via your foot??? Not bustin balls cause my car won't even think about doing a good burn out, just really curious if its personal preference or if the trans is mandating the shift.

You are hearing it dog a tad because of power braking. Get a line lock and that won't happen. You don't do first manually because first only lasts about 2 seconds TOPS.

Yep -have electric cut-outs! Love them -alot of WCM guys have them as we all like to make alot of noise!

They are not that expensive and are really easy to wire up. If you want the company name/contact let me know.

My first set did not work out real well (leaked alot) so I switched to another company that Justbob recommended and who stands behind their product and everything is good :)

I am usually at Quaker on sundays or the bomb group by the airport on fridays.But this weekend hit or miss be getting ready for MV10.

My first car was a 1968 Merc Cougar with a 428ci motor. I could do burn outs with or without the brakes on.
When the big Merc shifted to second it did more than chirp the tires, it layed rubber in second at WOT. According to Steve the previous owner, the best time in in the quarter at Fremont drag strip was 11.5 with racing slicks on the rear! The car was basically stock (Ford Police Interceptor cam and BM shift kit with torque converter) and of course except the racing slicks. Stock carb. It sounds like you had a good time. Jim
