I have been tossing and turning what to do with my car since the latest news on it happened. http://www.mercurymarauder.net/forums/showthread.php?t=78084 Yesterday, I was fix it. Today, I'm screw it, :mad2:buy another one and part this one out. I shouldv'e parted it out and bought another one last time this happened. This time I think she's going to car heaven. And getting spread all over the country. Or selling her whole minus the new s/c and associated parts.

Looking for respectable opinions. :) Please no dibs on the mats :bs:

If cash is not the problem get a stronger motor or beef up the old one with s/c or sell s/c then get or build motor. Don't put down your horse

^^^^^^ What he said. ^^^^^

I have been following this and the only thing I can think is this.

1- You know this car, issues and all.(except the motor, that is it)

2- A new motor no matter how much is less money then a replacement marauder.

3- Why start all over when you know the faults.

Just thinking out loud. (so to spreak)

Thanks for all the encouragement guys.

We found a MM motor with 61K on it somewhat close in Florida. Landy and I have worked it out and he'll be getting it picked up this weekend.

I cannot tell you all what an incredible help Landy has been through this whole ordeal. :bows::bows::bows::bows::bows:

He has sacrificed enough BS from me let alone all the work that he has done putting all his projects on the back burner. Truely a stand up guy. :bows: I think I have wore his email account out.

I am lost for words. The people in this community are awesome and nothing compares.

Attention to details, test driving and systems checks can never be taken for granted.

Before I S/C or Turbo a car I always spend the $30 on an oil analysis.

When you get the final diagnosis please post it so we can all learn.

Good Luck with the next engine.

I think the motor down south is the best option. I just talked to Landy and he is in picking it up. Good choice on the motor. At least you know where this one came from, who installed it, mileage on the s/c and so on. Besides your holding my build up. lol. Call me when you get home, we can meet up. Mine will start in three weeks.
