View Full Version : PATS fix needed; cost plan

The PATS (passive anti-theft system) has disabled my Marauder. I get the rapid blinking when I turn the key and no crank.

The electrical system works (radio/windows, etc.) and I did all the trouble-shooting on fuses, starter, etc. without finding any faults that need replaced. I also tried all the "tricks" about potential interference with the keys handshake with the PATS.

I'm not able to pull the PATS codes, so it looks like I'll be reduced to towing into the dealership.

Can anyone give me an idea what it will cost to diagnose and/or fix the PATS? I need a ballpark so I can schedule the repairs.

How many keys do you have? Wait an hour and try again if you have another key use that one.

I've tried all three keys at different times without any change. (Two keys and valet key)

mine did the same thing and i juts got a new ford factory key made and tryed that and it worked.

but after you use after key, use that one onlyyy do not switch keys back and forth thats what was messing me up somehow

so when you do get it working make sure you use only that key and not switch back and forth with keys

should be easy fix and i know the PATS is a pita

Can you not use your tune to turn your PATS off?

Not using any custom tune, so not an option.

One of the reasons I am going to disable my PATS. I will be using Delta Force.
