I'm considering swapping out the rear air bags with shocks and springs. I've got the "detroit lean" with the air bags, and I want to lower the car a little bit. Don't want to have to come out of pocket for new airbags if they're just going to do the same thing.

What I'm looking for is the kind of parts that you've used to replace them? I can probably get them through a parts supplier from work, I'm just trying to get an idea of what I'll need to get before hand.

Thanks!

this is for replacement parts if you plan on keeping the air ride, and they also have the rear coil conversion. If you want to lower the back, just adjust your ride height sensors

I thought there was only one sensor for the rear? And if that's the case, I wouldn't be able to lower it effectively the way I want. It would still be riding an inch or two higher on the right rear.

Could you add a spacer to the low side?

Incorrectamondo......

One one ride height sensor. It's located on the Watts link.

So, still no answer. Has anyone here tried to put springs in the rear? How does it feel?

I have a Grand Marquis, no Marauder by any means but the same size none the less. When I bought the car it had blown rear bags. I swapped them with Eaton Lowering springs and KYB Gas-A-Just shocks

Are those pics of the same car?

Or did you put a Whale front clip on a Aero?

I just put the coil spring conversion on the car today .The height is the same as stock and the ride feels good.
