I was without my MM. for almost 4 weeks and I was having some serious withdrawal pains, so I got up early this morning and totally detailed the car. About 2 pm this afternoon I was showered and dressed and the wife and I hit the road.

For some reason I was afraid that somehow all the performance had evaporated from lack of use, so I had to go thru all the paces again, burning rubber ? no problem; didn't even need to floor it to break 'em loose. Second gear chirp; easy when auto shifting.

Now I wanted to check out a little manual shifting so at about 3/4 throttle shifted to 2nd at about 4400 rpm's and the rear broke loose and a little sidewinding told me it was all good.

Next an 8 lane bridge over a large body of water and there was a huge open space ahead...or so I thought until I reached 112 mph, I glanced at the tachometer and it was a cool 3200 rpm's, smooth as silk, in control... and out of road up ahead...wow it felt so gooood !!!! Smokie is back !!!:coolman: :bounce: :banana2:

She's "steady as a rock" at 100+...

Glad you could take him out for a nice spin today, Javier...by the looks of your pics...it looks like the weather was a little rotten in the Bay area today...;)

I know what it's like to get those withdrawls...

Nothing gives you that feeling like a high speed run. I like the way it doesn't even breathe hard at 110 mph. If it wasn't for the minivans I could make it to Tennessee in 5 hours.

Spooky that I did just the same thing today, in fact, I just got home.

Warmest it's been around here in several weeks, still some residue of snow here and there, and a lot of puddles, but warm and sunny enough. When I got home from work around 3 PM, my Girl was begging for some pavement. It's been 8 weeks now.

Okay, Girl, show me your stuff, and she did.

Come on Spring!

I hope that weather is coming our way Mac. It was 52 yesterday, but with all the snow melt, there were rivers on every road. So I reluctantly passed to keep her clean.

I woke up this morning to 3 inches of snow and 28 degrees.:depress:

6 more weeks baby, 6 more weeks....
