Hello, I have owned this 1964 Mercury Park Lane convertible since 1993. It is a Oklahoma car I bought from an older couple. They had it painted red. The car was white on white from the factory. Only 1400 where made. The car was 4 speed with 390 motor. Vin code is automatic. I drove it a few years as it was other than tune-up(s) and tires and brakes. I then started to collect parts from Ebay and other sources in Virginia and California for a restoration. I still have many spare parts today (hood, truck lid, convertible top, gauges, brake units, door/truck windshield seals, electrical, dash parts, carpet kit, wheels and more) It took forever to locate the front convertible top bow (had been broken and patched). In 1996, I started the project. Had seats redone, new top, front bow, weather seals installed. 390 motor pulled and rebuilt, plus all new suspension parts. The car is my family weekend show car. Then in 2010, I bought a 1970 mercury station wagon. The 429 and c4 auto had 60,000 miles (came from California, lady drove it locally for 5 years before I got it). I had a restoration shop pull 390 out (still have it and 4 speed ) and in stall 429 with automatic plus front disk brakes. The car is now one finger cruiser and a joy to drive. I am considering putting this car up for adoption if anyone is interested. Please email me at bbamford@citcom.net Thanks Bruce

Where is this car physically located? Atlanta?
Your eBay listing says Asheville?
Is it available for inspection?

Did you work at the DuPont/Sterling/Agfa film manufacturing site?
I haven't heard about Brevard, NC for a long time.
