Hey everyone. A fellow MM member, who's not on here anymore, has suggested to me that out group that meets for the Fuddruckers meets should try something new. He has suggested doing a spirited drive/cruise through Hawk's Nest neat Wayne, NJ. It would be an hour ride or so, it has great scenery to look at and many twisty turnys. I don't feel like posting all the info on here so i'm going to post the link to the CVN post about it. I think it would be fun to do a few times.

Leave you thoughts here so he can read them as well as others obviously.

The NY part looks interesting but a spirited drive up RT 23 to get to it not likely. More speed traps on Rt 23 than any road I've ever been on. Plus do you really think a DTR can do a spirited run?:D:P

Yeah we were just thinking of doing this like once or twice to give our meets a bit of variety. Down here in south jersey Im getting ready for a cruise from atlantic city to wildwood and their should be around 80 cars involved. But, next time the wildwood cruise will most likely be to six flags, then hershey park, then Williamstown for a meet.....basically switching things up to keep things fresh you know.

Doing something different could be fun! Love Fudds, but REALLY love spirited driving....:D so I'm in either way.

I'll have my Galaxie on the Wildwood boardwalk this weekend, Friday and Saturday.

Weather looks decent.

Subject change, last week, my wife and I went down to Houlihan's on the Weehawken Hudson River waterfront. Plenty of parking, and a view of the NY skyline that was absolutely stunning.

And, a few miles further north, the drive along the river through Palisades Interstate Park/Henry Hudson Drive has great picture spots.

You pick the right day, ride along the Henry Hudson Drive in the afternoon, have burgers at Houlihans later in the day, and when you leave, it should be evening and the skyline will be all lit up.

Freedom Tower is 2/3 lit.

If I see you I'll give a wave. I'll be rolling around in my Grand National this weekend in Wildwood.

If you walk the boardwalk, my car is very easy to spot.

Ain't a heck of a lot of 64 Galaxie 500XL converts around painted "peacock green" with black buckets.

Ross - You have a Grand National, a Marauder, and an Impala SS? I officially hate you

lmao. Im just get lucky deals I guess. I've got a pretty good deal on the impala and the gn. Didn't pay that much for either. The marauder and its mods are through my own hard work. The other two are toys.

Looks like the weather has taken a bit of a dip.

Sunday, 40% showers, which could make the ride home very nasty.

But, if I can get a good Thursday afternoon at the beach, and a decent Friday/Saturday on the boardwalk, I figure I'm ahead.

Hope the rain doesn't come in Saturday evening and kill the street cruise, assuming there is one.

Street cruise is Friday night.

Weather took a turn fior the better.

0% rain for Saturday, 10% Sunday.

Now, if the car makes it back and forth..........

Motor's only got 2K miles on it, but the car has 215K. Most everything's been replaced over the years, but that doesn't mean that everything is "low mileage".

Well, off we go.

Not putting a damper on the idea but I am not getting into a "spirited drive" anywhere in NJ after the Parkway blast that had State Police escort. A long line of cars like ours will draw way too much attention.

Enjoy and I'll see you at Fudds afterwards if your not in jail:lol:

I don't think this x-member who shall not be named but should be re-instated has never been on RT 23. Spirited drives aren't realistic.

I think he should takesome of his millions and rent NJMS park for the day and we can show him how it's done Jim;)
