I just fabbed pipe and welded it. It made the exhaust sound perfect especially with my hollow tips. I have stock manifolds and mufflers and at cruise it literally has no sound like stock but on accel it just sounds right.

I could pick up close to 50hp with headers but I fear the noise. I already have a loud car.

The second set of cats are just another resistance piece of the exhaust, by removing them you free up some sound and allow just slightly better breathing of the exhaust. It's not proven to increase hp or tq but when I did it I noticed better mid-range and dropped a tenth on my 1/4 mile time.

I deleted the 2nd set of cats and installed some Magnaflows that I purchased from a member here. Love the new sound..

Does this require a tune? I am pretty sure it doesn't since the rear cats are downstream from any sensors.. but im not sure. Probably going to do this over the nasty season we have coming up
