Yup.
The rear cats are after the last O2 sensors; so the computer has no readings from them at all.

Any news on video? I have been considering doing this on mine, but don't plan to change anything else exhaust wise so trying to figure out if the sound is too raspy.

i have a shop that said if i cut them out, and supply the pipe that is going in place of the rear cats, they could weld it up for $100-$150, but i dont know the size exaust tubing, assuming its 2"OD? also, is the replacement pipe going to be straight or does it need to be bent? is it me or does $150 seem a bit high? sorry for hi-jacking

That seems WAY high too mean...I mean WAY high. I had a shop by me cut off my stock tips on my CV, and add the correct pieces for $20. They also replaced the exhaust piece from front of the axle to the exit for $60... with them supplying quality pipe (not that cheap rusted out junk)... So 150 and you supply the pipes sounds wayy high.

i think i'll go to a muffler shop, cut the cats out myself, and tell them i need replacement pipes welded back in......**"hey honey, i think i have an exaust leak that needs to be fixed" :D**

yeah just tell them you got some pipes from the junkyard and put them up there but they seemed a little short so you need them to reconnect them. You can also resell your old cats to certain places for money. I think I had a local yard offer me 50 for the pair.

I paid $40 total IIRC Total hack job but it sealed. You get what you pay for usually. I think they just used a piece of straight 2 1/4" with a bell on one end and slid it over the existing and welded her up. Crude, but functional on a budget.
