So basically im kinda wondering if anyone knows what kinda of hp gain
i will get from stock engine to adding --k&n cai, underdrive pulleys, 4.10 gears,
and a sct x3 custom tune? I know most stock mm run like 275hp 280hp at the wheel
right? im interested in getting a general idea of what i can expect, any info would help!! Thanks...

Before I supercharged my Merc. I had 4.10's, underdrives, Zack tune and a JLT intake. As I don't recall what my dyno sheet read. I do recall my seat of the pants feeling increasing my smiles per miles a lot.
If I were to buy gears again. I'd get 4.30's.
But I'm happy with my 4.10's.

Check out the timeslips page to get a good idea of what mods get you where on the HP range.
Max in N/A with all the bells and whistles is probably close to 305 RWHP. You'll need forced induction to climb above that level.
Stock MM is closer to 260 RWHP give or take.
My estimate is that your planned mods might get you close to the 282-285 RWHP area. Maybe less. Maybe a little more. Again, look at the timeslips for N/A cars in the 13.1-13.4 range to get an idea of the N/A limit by clicking the member stats for that car.

Tune from Lidio or Mo's Speed shop should net you around 20 hp or so, but more significantly, will really improve the shift schedule.
CAI will add a nice sound, but prolly not too much HP, as the OEM air box flows pretty well. Underdrive pulleys won't "add" any, but they will free up maybe 5-8 HP cannibalized HP from driving the accessories.
Gears won't add any HP, but will definitely make the car more responsive on the low end.
Bone stock MM's are prolly closer to 255-265 at the rear wheels, the mods you're looking at will get you up into the 275-280 HP range at the rear wheels.

Excellent!! Im about a month out from all that gettin done (minus the cai) so I'm pretty excited about it...its seems that ima have to throw some more $$ at it to get the hp im lookin for, any suggestions other than a supercharger? i dont have that kinda money right now so im thinkin a few smaller projects before....

Stock Marauders are usually in the 245-255 RWHP range. Add the tune and U/D pullies and you'll be around the 275 mark. Then you'll have to start modding the exhaust and start with the other bolt-ons to hit the 290 range.

Long tube headers, high flow cats, X or H pipe will add another 25-30 HP, but you're looking at $1,500 or so for that set-up, plus a dyno tune to maximize the output. It's pretty tough to get much over 300 rwhp out of a NA engine unless you spend big bucks.
NOS is one route that can make pretty big HP, but you're looking at limited application (i.e. gotta have the bottle on to make the HP)

LowbuckMM has Nitrous along with underdrives and I believe a CAI along with a dyno tune for a 100 shot of nitrous. If I recall, he netted 380+rwhp and 480+rwtq with Bob Kurgans dyno tune.

There you go! Thanks, Joey, CRS had kicked in, couldn't remember Brandon's numbers, but definitely impressive when on the juice.

I recall having a tune,( Lidio )and JLT, underdrives, cooler plugs, 180*stat, ,intake spacer & still being in the mid 240's RWHP range.

Black MM's are known for lower power levels.
Intake, tune, and gears are your 3 basics.
After that U/D pulleys and headers.

Yup. The basic three will give you the most bang for the buck. You can do those for a $1,000 or less.

So after i get all that done would anyone suggest a dyno run for solid #'s? When does dyno-tuning come into the mix?

You could have a dyno done just to see what kind of real numbers you are putting down.
Dyno-tuning comes into the mix once you start altering the air/fuel mixture such as getting headers, running NOS or forced induction. If you get a tune from MO's or Lidio it's a safe bet you'll be fine without getting a dyno-tune until you start doing what I listed.
Dyno-tuning is only cost effective when getting one will net you a power increase over top of a mod install.

+1
Either MO's or Lidio's canned tune will give you a good performance increase, but are well within safe operating parameters for "Stage 1" mods. Hundreds of cars, and literally hundereds of thousands of miles on these tunes are proof positive.

I had a dyno-tune done once I changed my whole exhaust system (left stock manifolds) just to make sure my AFR wasn't off. Should of never had the trans parameters updated either, car has never been the same as it once was.
