So I looked up the effective gear ratio with this combo and WOW 479.0! Will I even have enough gear to cross the line anymore or am I gonna have to chance OD??? I just bought the widened rears and DR's for sale here last week really only for the rims. I don't wanna spend the cash right now for taller tires. Just wondering if anyone else has something close to mine and what RPM's they we're churning.

Best to date so far was 12.3's at right around 109 but that was before my gear change. Also I have only been out once since my exhaust mods but temps were pretty high and tire slippage was an issue. Really curious to see what she has in her.

What gears and tires were you running with your 12.3's. What RPM were you at when you crossed the line?

Pm John (buckwheat) he was running 4.30's , but not sure of wheel/tire combo he was using.

same size tire you achieved the 12.3 with, yes you will be in OD before the trap.

Kinda figured so.. Forgive my ignorance but should I let off when I engage and feather back in, or run that Merc for all shes got, or just leave it in OD???

Been seriously contemplating a viper spec T56 lately.. Besides the tow and undercoating.. It could help me decide a little quicker? :)

Depends, If you behave like me, a new convertor capable of WOT lockup was necessary.
Believe me when I tell you , I'm skeerd to break :P

Not me! I consider an opportunity... :) my only fear is being stranded with the family. This is why we need a WCM trailer!

With 4.30's you will be fine. If you start trapping higher than 115-118mph Then you may run into an issue.

Trapped at 111 in 4th at around 4700 RPM's. I dialed back the 3-4 line pressure to -25% and made four passes at WOT. Zero issues came up.

It wouldn't have helped. I have it set to shift at 6500 and I was no where near the finish line. I never seen the RPM's climb that fast!

Little disappointed in the sixty and can't for the life of me figure it out?? Both of the first runs we're 1.77 and 1.78. With the 3.55's in the same exact weather conditions, same track, seemed to hook really well, my best sixty foot before was ........ 1.75. WTF!

ONLY changes were headers, X pipe, no cats, and 4.30's. I lost almost 2 #'s boost but gained 8 RWHP (without any tuning) 20 RWHP with cut outs open.

Both first runs we're so identical it was scary. First one exhaust open, second closed. So much for back pressure theories. :)

So close to the 11's

How are you launching? I love those 60ft times.

Did it dead hook tho?
60's are hard to shave down, i honestly think you will benefit from some 28" tall tires and a stall.
You would shave 3-4 tenths prolly more and mph better too.

Sure felt tight Landy. Straight as an arrow, and wife said she didn't hear or see anything, albeit kinda far away. She videoed the runs, maybe that will determine? I haven't had a chance to look yet.

Besides that, those first two runs felt absolutely STOUT from start to shut down! God I wish I could pull 1/4 of those G's on the street..

Sorry? I just press the pedal, so I am merely a middle man in all of this. Better get your chance in before Jeff or Brandon hit the track though! We're all in for some serious money spending... 😥
