Looking at buying a 2003 Maruader. It has about 75k on it. It's a theft recovery so there for has a rebuilt title. It also looks to be an ex-state trooper vehicle. It looks pretty clean. The guy is asking $8k. What would you guys value this car at and what would you offer? Thanks in advance.

Not even close...I would say half of that at least. 1st of all if it was used as a patrol vehicle they sit and idle all day, then they get the snot stomped out them...not to mention the interior damage from all of the BS that gets screwed and mounted in them. 2nd its a salvage title...nuff said...

Fairly low miles! Is it in good shape? Any antenna holes or anything like that?

Mine was an ex under cover vehicle. I still have the gimbal for the pc. I had to remove about a mile of wire and 10 extra relays. I had 137k on the clock when I got it for 6k three years ago, clean title. Engine ran great.

How's the frame?
I agree, $8K is high due to all of the question marks and you ability to resell.
There are plenty of cars with clear titles out there.

That does not sound bad...what about the condition? I am just not a fan of a salvage titled vehicle...unless you can steal it!

understand that if anything ever happens to the car you will not get any money back from the insurance company for it whatsoever for any reason. My honda civic with a turbo was stolen and it had a salvage title...
Pictures sure would help!

NO! $3500 would be a steal, but remember its worthless to an insurance company. This is a great car to turn into a race car/custom but not to drive.

No, it did not have a salvage title. It showed that it was rebuilt or something on the Carfax, but clear non-salvage title if I remember right.

Is it this car http://miami.craigslist.org/brw/cto/3263348508.html This guy has had it for sale for a while. Seems pretty nice. I'd buy it. Of course I'd shoot him a 7500 offer :)
It looks like an old FHP Rauder. They were well maintained and taken care of. Do it. :banana2:

If this Marauder is as good condition as the photos suggest and the title was clean, it would sell for $4,000 more. $8,000 is a good asking price and I would be surprised if it did not sell for more than $7,000. (Remember Florida does not have snow and the mileage is low.)
