Went with Clarion radio (dxz535 - $149 from www.crutchfield.com), got the FREE Clarion sirius tuner after I purchased the Turk antenna ($49) and the Clarion 6 cd changer for $134 (after $25 combo discount) and free shipping, no tax and all wire harnesses (except 1 - I will explain later) along with radio mounting kit free. $404 total which includes the $69 pac steering wheel radio button adapter. I did all Clarion since one a-net cable goes to the sirius tuner - which has a pass through out to the cd changer. need 2 wire harnesses - 1 for the radio and another for the the signal pick up (not made yet by any supplier) - neg & positive, a remote turn on and ground. this is the small 8 pin connector behind the radio which uses 4 wires. I hook up a pair of RCAs to the posive and negative which plug into the new radio, used the amp turn on from the new radio and grounded everything (radio, pac swix, & neg from the mentioned harness) to one point.

Yes. See the link below:

I've had this unit installed for 6 months and it works fairly well with my Eclipse head unit.

I needed this fix with my first Pioneer in-dash DVD install back in 2003, and it worked with my second Pioneer DVD/GPS install in 2004. It's an add-on box that converts dedicated L/M steering wheel controls to the head unit of your choice, so, it is possible, and available.

Automotive audio entertainment is no different than automotive performance. Shop at Best Buy (and others at this likewise retail discount level), and you'll hear "no", while any pro shop can hook you up.

This is where you get to decide how important steering wheel controls are to you. If you're willing to pay a few more bucks for more upscale stuff, you can have what you want.

If the answer to "how fast can I go?" is "how much do you want to spend?", what's the answer to your question?

If the answer to "how fast can I go?" is "how much do you want to spend?", what's the answer to your question?I agree... I have finally learned that whatever bizarre little electronic thingie I think I "need", someone has already thought of it and it is for sale somewhere. Thankfully the web makes it sooooo much easier to find stuff, saves me a bundle on gas. The stock stereo system is by far the nicest I have had in any car I've owned, yet I want MORE POWER. Stock Marauder is pretty quick, but I want MORE POWER! See a trend here? Any upgrades to the Marauder are going to be speed oriented for the time being. Extra cash to spend on "I want"s is in short supply, so I have to prioritize.
<end ramble now>
