I checked Sparta and they have them primed but I really need one already painted - from the other forums I have read - they say not to go with any aftermarket spoilers.

Will Sparta paint them? CarID has them already painted and there are a some on ebay but they don't say they are OEM.

Also - is it better to drill them or use the 3M application?

IIRC, the only OEM spoilers that came painted were the DBP ones, any reputable body shop should be able to paint a primed spoiler for you.

Go with Sparta's product; Tommy doesn't sell junk, other sources, hard to say.

IMO, I'd go with the drilled and screwed installation.

Thanks. Any idea how much it would cost to get one painted?

Fairly reasonable, IIRC, PM bugsyc, I think he recently had one done.

Would depend On the body shop's labor rate and cost of materials.

The OEM installation is drilled, glued & screwed.
I believe Tommy is selling OEM spoilers - ready painted blacks were available from Ford but may be only primed now. I installed a prepainted OEM in '05 or '06 w/no problem.

I got really lucky, a local members brother in law had passed away, and he had a garage FULL of MM parts. He had a black painted brand new ford spoiler. I swooped that bad boy up. And it turned out great. Yes you have to drill the trunk, and bolt down the spoiler.

I'm not sure if already painted are available anymore, if they are I'll get you a price. However the I would recommend primed this way the body shop can blend the spoiler to car after almost 10 years of paint fade.

Look no further than Tommy and Sparta for spoilers.
