There was no original siren from the manufacturer(Ford), there are a # of aftermarket suppliers, I think you will need to be a little more specific as to what your looking for.

Okay, Two ways to do this....
Option one is the Old mechanical Sirens (Federal primary vendor)
Option two Federal makes the 100 Watt speaker driver http://www.ebay.com/itm/Federal-Signal-NS100W-Speaker-Driver-100-Watt-Z8280090A-EC5-1-/400317286901?pt=LH_DefaultDoma in_0&hash=item5d34c509f5
With this you will need the Amp Federal makes one, Code 3 makes one as well (couldn't find any on Ebay)
This might be the best place to look for a bundle deal...
http://www.govdeals.com/
example of what you might see there
http://www.govdeals.com/index.cfm?fa=Main.Item&itemid=118&acctid=3024
These things are a fairly easy to install, siren mounted under front bumper, siren amp usually floor mounted or where ever and can use a remote switch or foot pedal...

You posted three weeks to late. I cleaned out the garage and got rid of a complete federal unit, head unit and speaker cone, lights and all. I would have given then to you for shipping. Taken out of my 01 LEO police car when I gave it back to the police.

That animal doesn't exist. FOMCO's "ready for the road" package uses aftermarket parts made for the upfitting industry. Now, seeing as how I run a company that upfits police cars(part time), I can probably help, but you have to say what it is you are specifically looking for.
I will tell you this, there are no sirens or speakers that say "made by Ford" on them. So what year is the car, so I or someone else can give you an indication of what parts would be on that specific year.
As far as the factory wiring for the grill lights and siren speaker, that is part of the underhood harness, so short of finding a complete harness, you will not find the factory wiring. Are you trying to restore an old police car, or are you just a lights and siren collector?

well first off why do you need one? Idk what the laws are where you are, but in Amurrica you can get in alot of trouble fast for impersonating a police officer, especially if you plan on outfitting a Marauder/crown vic with sirens.

Just out of curiosity is it legal to have legit lights and sirens? For example just to use them in car shows, family parties, or such etc etc. Or is it Illegal just to simply have them if a police sees them on the vehicle? (From Illinois in case it matters what state You live in)

The laws will vary from state to state, I am not familar with Illinois law, so I have no clue if you could have them. I would speculate that unless you are FD or PD, then the answer would be "no", it would be an equipment violation until you operate them, best bet, unless you are authorized for said item, don't equip the car with it.
Now, it should be a crime to not mod your car with "go fast" parts. :D :burnout:

It has to sound like the original siren. Here in Germany, it´s forbidden too, but for my purpose is it okay! thank you, for your helpful posts!

I didn't rip your head off, but I can, if you like.....
Any color light you put on your car is legal, you just cannot activate it, 1) when the car is in motion on a public road, 2) if you are willing to go toe to toe with your local LEO and legal system when you get stopped and questioned for having them (and it WILL happen). But, you can put anything on your car that you like, in the U.S. specifically.
I have seen people in the past that have that equipment on their cars "just for shows", it almost always winds up getting fired up on a roadway for a variety of reasons. A good example, while at PFE in Charlotte this year, I caught the new one morning, turns out a volunteer fireman pulled over a young lady for a traffic violation, made contact, took her license and called 911 to have the local PD cite her, he went to jail. A buddy of mine who drives an unmarked SP car in Indiana, got stopped for speeding one night..... by a security guard, he went to jail too. So, even people that are supposed to have them, abuse the privilege, just think what the local authorities will think about finding that stuff in a DD.
Now, Germany may be a whole different ball game, I know that there are some groups over there that are big into restoring U.S. police cars, so they may not be uptight about it at all.
As far as a train horn, here in Ohio, it is illegal to have that installed on a motor vehicle, unless it's a train. Keep in mind playing with that stuff on the street will most certainly get your car impounded, and depending on the driver's demeanor, you may just go to jail for the evening. It's big laughs until you get caught............just sayin'

yes I agree with all of that completely...!:confused: In fact, that didnt rip my head off, you just proved my point, in detail! thats why I said you can get in trouble for impersonating a police officer, just in case he wasnt aware? I dont get why I was berated and that my "opinion" wasnt needed? Maybe I didnt clarify, I didnt mean having a crown vic with sirens would get him in trouble, I meant he would get in trouble for USING THEM, ESPECIALLY in a panther!

Idk who you're talking to, me or him? I never said I wanted a train horn or sirens. I sent him a link to the kind of siren he wanted. yes, that site also happens to sell train horns... But I never suggested him to get a train horn.. I dont want to fight with you lol, I just felt a bit of hostility when I was just trying to be helpful. I didnt insult or berate anyone in my original post i dont think, it certainly wasnt my intentions! if it came off that way then I apologize ....

We are getting waaaayyyy off track here. I will simplify my answer, any horn, whistle, siren or bell that is not factory to that vehicle very well may cause you legal problems, the same is true with lights.
If the OP has a picture of what he is looking for, I can probably help him find what he is looking for. Owning it is not a violation of law.........

The only what i want is the siren from a police car w/ an original sound, not a fake!
If u can offer me a cheap fake from Hongkong, it will be fine, but it must sound like real police car. I know, it is against the law, in Germany too, but for my purpose, it is okay!

I was trying to help. I didn't chastise him. I asked a question and stated a fact. I honestly just wanted to make sure he was aware that using the siren could get him in trouble, before I sent him a link to a siren(which I did after he said he was aware of the law) Seems their was a misunderstanding. I didn't intend to chastise anyone. Sorry about the confusion, sir.

I figured it out. Those sound samples that are on the website are from their cheaper 30Watt system, not the 100 watt. the 100 watt sounds exactly like the one in those youtube videos. hope this helps.
