I think these are a replacement speaker for the old p/n KFC-X688 - which are not produced anymore. Would like to upgrade the OEM speakers - but not ready for a replacment stereo/gps unit yet.

Any experience with these??

Thanks
Dick

I still have the factory speakers in the Marauder.....really didnt think anything was wrong with them except that they werent loud enough.....no distortion good highs and mids and with the 2 Orion 12"s in the trunk, they sound pretty good together...

Now with that being said I did have to replace the speakers in the new suburban as one was blown.....so if your gonna do one you might as well do them all, right??

Well, I just ordered some Infinity REF-6502ix and heard some great things about them so I am gonna try them out in the truck and let you know....I ordered them from Crutchfield so they wont be here till tomorrow, but as soon as I put them in I'll fill yall in on how they sound.

I had a suprise waiting for me when I got home, the speakers came a day early.

So I put them in the truck yesterday afternoon, took about 2 hours with breaks to watch my kids play, but went pretty smoothly.

The bass is about the same but they are much clearer at high volume. they have a built in tweeter that you can turn on or off, so all in all they sound pretty good over stock, but not as great as I thought for $119.00 a pair.
