Getting some work done on my DTR within a couple of weeks.

As some of you know, I experienced some hail damage to my MM several months back, and considering I do not drive it that much, it hasn't been a major concern.

I took it out Saturday for an estimate, and Paul's quote came in a lot less than I anticipated.

The breakdown..

2 tiny dents on the roof
2 rather larg dents on the hood
1 small dent on the trunk
2 dents on one quarter panel
3 dents on the other quarter panel

Estimate = ~$500.00

In addition, I have a recommended exhaust shop that I will take my MM to, and have the 4" resonator delete tips put on once the hail damage has been repaired.

Called the recommended exhaust shop, and was quoted in the neighborhood of $50.00 to remove the stock tips, then weld on the 4" tips.

That includes bringing them out 1/2" max.

You know it!

Waiting to hear back from Paul, so we can schedule the PDR guy to remove the dents, then... drive on down the road afterwards for the exhaust work.

Will have to take a little vacation time away from work, so might as well knoeck 'em both out in one day.

Sweet!

Just to make sure I like the sound of your exhaust, I'll drive to Dayton, leave mine with you and take yours back to Louisville.

Once convinced, I'll return yours back to you at a later date.

Maybe.

Leaving in about 30 minutes, and I'll call when I'm about 30 miles from you.

Should be about 11:30PM.

Change of plans though... I'll be in the Fusion.

If not, winter will be over by the time I get there driving my DTR.

Hope you enjoy the Fusion left in your driveway.

BTW,.. your DTR rides rougher than mine, although the exhaust sounds great!

Also, in the garage, both DTR's parked next to each other is a site in itself.

This Friday at 4:00PM, I have an appointment at the exhaust shop...

Not sure you would want to know what is planned?

The Fusion was leaking oil on my driveway, I fixed it, 5 gallons of kerosene and a road flare:eek:, no more leaking oil. :D

I am surprised you found mine to have a rough ride, maybe it's because my seats aren't all broken down like yours?????

Do you have AAA? I need the scrap removed from my driveway, you parked right in the middle........

Nice.

I wasn't very fond of that car anyway, and will get more thru insurance than selling it.

The rough ride was due to too much air pressure in the tires (poor maintenance), and the fact that the tires are now bald.

No, I do not have AAA, nor do I have towing on my insurance policy.

The car is your responsibility, and yours is now mine.

I was less fond, it was leaking everywhere, I fixed it. :flamer:

85 PSI was too high, seemed right to me, hmmmm?

You have insurance? News to me. :D

You can have it, when you coming back for all the spare parts?

Surprisingly enough, my insurance is up to date and in force.

85 PSI is in fact, a little on the high side.

Yes. Your car now belongs to me.

I already have all your spare parts, as your security system was lacking and easily breached.
