Just returned from a 10 day roadtrip to Oregon (that's why I missed the United thing). The MM performed flawlessly from 8000 feet to sea level. Lots of great curvy roads.
I was up there when this gas craziness got started. Gas prices went up about 6 cents overnight. I bought premium for 4.29 20 miles from the California border. In Crescent City it was 4.99.
A great trip in a great car.

I'm jealous. All of our road trips are in the truck (GMC Sierra crew Z71). Wish the Marauder could go but it can't hold half the stuff we bring not will allow the kids (or wife) to eat in the car.

Glad you had a good trip Rod.

Or you can get a hitch installed like me and use a cargo carrier for extra stuff.

I should explain more. Last road trip was only 3100 miles (Yellowstone and back via alot of roads). In that trip approximately 100 were in 4wd as the road was not always a road. Another 100 or so was in loose dirt/soil.

The Marauder does not have 4wd. :)

Did you cross over and go to Mt. St. Helens? I was there about 20 years ago and I'm ready to go back and take my kids to see it. I wonder how much has grown back now. Surely you hit Lassen and Crater, right? Beautiful country up there.

We didn't get to St. Helen's but went by Lassen and visited Crater Lake and stayed nearby at Diamond Lake. Then we headed to the coast and back towards home.

Hi, Rod, sure miss having you folks around. Sounds like you really got to know your MM. Ginny and I just got back from a "ridge running" trip thru the Ozarks in the Eureka Springs area. Got to run with some local road racers and got to really push the limits---this thing runs like it is on tracks. Have a completely new respect for the car. By the way, got 24.4 mpg at cruise control 75 mph on the way up on 93 octane---got 22.5 on 91 coming back. I also found out that an 84 year old can keep up with the young bucks--really surprised them--guess doing 123 mph laps at Texas Motor Speedway on street tires and playing on the infield road course prepared me----didn't you do the Speedway thing with the FTWPD ??. Great to hear from you---have a great holiday season. Maury :burnout::beer::D
