do our cars lose low end tq with headers? or is it all in the tune?
not trying to start anything but i got the dyno numbers from the previous owner of the mm and they were 267/291
mods at the time were
-K&n
-borla mufflers with 4" tips
-tune

i would love headers if i could afford them right now

sounds damn good too btw

Did you have to do anything to the steering shaft or oil dip stick tube?
Were these off the last group buy?
I'll be installing mine after the state inspection.

I did not install them it was done by SIC performance in staten island they did a great job. They are a dealer for SW headers plus they have a dyno

http://www.sic-performance.com/

as you can see in the pics the dipstick was repositioned to fit around the header and there is a good gap between the headers and steering arm

I missed out on the group buy so i got the headers maucat system for the advertised price of 1390.00 and labor, dyno runs, and tax was about 850.00

I never heard of this place before. How is your transmission tune? Did they adjust the converter lockup?

The shop is right off of 440 on victory blvd. My tune is still the lido 4.10 93 octane performance tune they just adjusted the mixture on the dyno runs and saved the new settings to the tune

OK cool. My tune needs a little tweak after the new exhaust and headers. They tweak it with your xcal or they took your lidio file and made the adjustments on a laptop?
