New Blown Member

Hey guys I've stalked this website from behind the scenes for a while now looking at the info you guys have and just recently met a few of your Windy City Marauder guys at the Westchester Cruise Night. They were very welcoming and polite and that made me decide to join in here and actually get involved in a discussion or two.

My car may not have a DOHC but its blown :rock: With a Kenne Bell no less. Its a 2003 Crown Victoria LX Sport with a little over 45k miles currently

Lol when do you wanna? I was actually going to take this and my Mustang to the Great Lakes Dragaway this past Sunday but then the weather ended up being terrible. But I'm hopefully going to sneak up there with both of them before they close and see if this new bigger TB doesn't restrict the flow as much as I'm sure the stock one was

BTW, I am the Plumber at that new Firestone going up on Roosevelt in Lombard.. I'll probably be there everyday for awhile. I live in Winfield, we should hook up sometime.

As for racing, I was gonna hit GLD this week sometime after work, but may or may not till next week now? I just started a multi night three stage buff on the old girl to show off on Saturday at Volo, plus I just found out that I have to do a shut down/rework/and liven back up water service Friday night at 10 in Crystal Lake at s retirement home.. :( yeah, probably next week for racing at this point.

What numbers have you got out of it?

^^^Damn sweet thats super close. Yeah I know exactly which one your talking about the one sharing the lot with Westgate Auto Sales I drive past each day. Yeah we should definitely hook up some time it seems like you have a highly modded Marauder there lol. As a matter of fact I'm off work tomorrow if you want to meet up sometime then. I'm going to possibly help my older brother plastidip his Mustang's rims sometime tomorrow but its not for sure yet.

Yeah I haven't had my Mustang to the track seince I bought it and started building it and I just finally got it running right and not overheating so I really want to get it up there before having to wait a whole winter.

The guy I bought it off of said it dynoed out at 345rwhp and 365rwtq. So far the best its got was a 13.99 at 96.72 with a bottle of octane booster and the stock TB which I now have switched. The weird thing was that the whole night it was running around 14.20s and then that one run it went crazy and got the 13.99? And unfortionatly my dad was driving that run so he has bragging rights over me. For now lol

As a side note are you a union guy? I only ask cause my older brothers actually a plumber/pipefitter apprentice

453 RWHP 466 w/cut outs open
Back to back runs last time out yielded identical times open and closed exhaust 12.15 and 12.17 both at 111 putting the myth of needed back pressure to rest.. Just proves dyno's are not a perfect science!

You should be EASILY in the 12's with that blower?? Maybe tuned waaaay conservative? Time for a dyno session. :)

I've been working by myself anymore so I probably won't be able to break free. But if your up for a ride over to Winfield, your always welcome!

Damn thats very nice!

Yeah I'm not sure. It was tuned by Lidio at Alternative Performance. It still has stock exhaust manifolds on it and the stock MAF which I'm sure isn't helping and the blower isn't intercooled. I've been tossing around intercooling it or just spraying methanol into it because that'd also help cool down the temp of the blower itself. I just found it super strange that it only got 13.99 1 time and the rest were all pretty consistly around 4.2?s. And I met up with a guy who used to do a lot with the panther platform when he came into the city and he said my car doesn't feel like it has the snap it should with the blower and gears?

Lol hell Winfield isn't far from me at all. I live almost right on the border of Lombard and Glen Ellyn. Just let me know if you want me to stop by tomorrow so I can get outta the house and not waste a whole day being bored lol
