I am new to this forum. I listed myself as Charlotte 04 because I thought I might be interested in buying an 04. I am looking for a daily driver and put 10 to 15 k a year on my cars as a sales manager. I used to drive a Grand Marquis and miss the ride and comfort of that car. That being said, I have been driving a BMW 330ci for the last 8 years and have become accustomed to a little thrill factor in my ride. I see a lot of modified cars here and on eBay and such. Reliability, comfort and prrformance is what I am looking for, but mods kind of scare me. Should I shy away from modified MMs or go for the gusto?

Go for the gusto, if not you will mod it anyway.

Yup. ^^^^^

These are very reliable cars, and the engines will last for well over 100K if properly maintained.

We have several supercharged folks with 200K+ and still going strong.

I just turned 80K on my Eaton-swapped engine and it runs like a Swiss watch.

Go for it!

BTW, :welcome1: to the Carolina Marauders!

If you decide to buy a modded car you need to know what your looking at, if you dont feel comfortable take a good mechanic with you, as long as the car was done right i would get a modded beast!

Welcome to the Carolina Marauders!

I live here in Charlotte, down by Carrowinds off Steel Creek--

My MM has been modified ( story behind it explains it all) but can be a daily driver depending on several factors..... If your interested to meet up sometime and check it out and other stuff --give out a holler!!!

Modded, I hated mine in "stock" form, even with a tune.

Thanks Tom. I am in Mooresville and would love to meet you / see your car / get some advice. My travels take me as far north as Winston Salem and as far South as York county. I may rech out to you shortly.

Tune, 410 gears, long tube headers, supercharger in that order. You will be thrilled with each mod you get and it will be a new car each time.

The car is great stock, first time you meet up with us, the itch will start. You'll scratch it my getting a tune and figure your happy. You'll go to a meet again, and you'll want a little more. Then it becomes a thirst, then a necessity, then a way of life

I HIGHLY suggest to only buy a MM from here whether stock or modified. Most members cars on this site have been documented countless times and come with a history. This isn't your typical car site by no means, we are a very tight nit community who own the same limited production car and we take great strides to helping each other.

With that said, welcome aboard!

^^^^^ VERY good info...... I looked at a lot of Marauders before I bought mine. The others were just cars, not loved at all, mine was very well taken care of, as are most you will find on this board.

Buy that DTR that's for sale in GA. The car is GORGEOUS & low miles. He installed a Trilogy so the "slow" is cured... :D
