PM bugsyc, he recently did a lower grill mod and it turned out well, may want to send him a PM for some pics.

Also, if you have access to a couple of wheel center caps you could do the "godshead mod" to your grille and trunk badges. Or, working in a body shop, you might want to consider shaving the trunk badge, that makes for a real clean appearance. Another mod that yo could easily do in the body shop is the S55 tail and backup light treatment.

You can paint your calipers and plasti-dip your wheels. $40 for G2 and $12 for plasti dip. It's a fun project you can complete in a day.

If you work at a body shop, maybe look into giving your tail lights and reverse lights the S55 treatment.

I think the quickest mod is removing the seat track little pin that allows the seat to be moved back like an extra inch. Plus it's a zero cost mod, well unless you don't have any needle nose pliers. lol

Lower grille mod only cost a few bucks.

Scrub the rust from the inside of your mags and buff up the aluminium.

I was thinking about saying something about pulling each wheel off and giving it a good cleaning.

i smoked my tail and reverse lights when the p.o. had the car. they still look pretty awesome. i need to grab a godshead emblem for the grill. will delete the rear emblem tomorrow as there will still be nothing to do. lol. i got really bored and ordered a new alternator since mine is dying and drilled and slotted rotors and pads for the whole car. ill paint the calipers when i have them off next week. as for the lower grill ill be doing that tomorrow as well. how did you attach it? a chin spoiler is in the works too and since my car is lowered it will look slammed with it i hope. i did some research and build my own oil catch can... today. pics will be up once i finish it tomorrow

^^^1^^^This is on my short list of things to do - I think that the rims will really POP with a polished interior. Especially on a SB.

Agreed. I did mine about a year ago when I replaced the tires and about 6 months ago when I put on locking lugs.

It looks so much cleaner....it shines instead of seeing that left over brake dust & crap.

It's a lot easier with the rims off rather than trying to find a brush that fits between the caliper/rim and then ouch ouch......getting cut by that sharp metal clip on the caliper.

the wheels are definatley getting polished next week when i do the brakes.

as for the :nos: your not going to believe this mr doom, but the car had it when i bought it. i am not a fan of nos for one, and for two the po lost the tuner so i would have to buy another one to spray it. and i figure if im paying for dyno tuning it might as well be fr a suercharger of some sort. i dont want my car to end up like this......:hotrice:

thats what im thinking. i just have to decide if it worth selling my 93 built 93 mustang to do it. i was watching the videos of purple panther's dyno runs and am kinda thinking that a centrifical might be fun, but then there is the sound of the eaton or whipple. i dunno what direction to go :confused:

Can't go wrong with boost. I have centrifical, I've driven a trilogy, ridden Whipple and eaton. They are all fun. I love my Vortech, but the roots blowers make me just as happy

Ok...ok...
What exactly is an "S55", and what makes it's lights different?
AND
That lower grill treatment? How does it attach to the inside of valance? (I like it allot!).

The original 1998 concept car for the auto show was designated S55 Marauder. The S%% was resurected from the original Mercury Performance Marauder cars - it was more of an appearance package to go with the Marauder engines. Picture of the '98 car tail light treatment.

All the S55 treatment is painting the "raised" surface areas of the taillights and reverse lights with body color matching paint.

I see yet another use for the magical PLASTI-DIP (just to try it out). :D

Now...how does the mesh stay in (on the lower grill)?

The mesh just sits in the space behind the bumper cover..it's not loose, it;s actually tight and then most used two of the lower screws which hold the bumper cover on the bottom as extra insurance. i had to bend my mesh from home depot just a little to follow the curve of the front cover and to allow it to sit up against the openings. It's hard to describe, more of a once your under there looking and trying you "see how it works out". My mesh was like $3.59 or something so if i trashed it was like no worries.

I know I might get slaughtered for this, but it reminds me of the cheese grater lights I took off my fox body. Hello 1980's.

A cheap, great, DIY mod was posted some years ago by maybe Cruztaker (could be wrong on that) that was a home made cold air kit.
