Does anyone know the factory part number on the side of the CD cartridge that inserts into the trunk mounted unit. I went on Ebay looking for a cartridge and there is a ton of different ones.

I believe it is made by Clarion - take a look at crutchfield - you can get them there for $20-$30.

While we are on the subject.... Does anyone know if you can get the changer to cycle thru its 6 cds when you put it on shuffle? When I use shuffle it only shuffles the tracks on the cd its playing. Also is there a way to jump to a particular cd? I have to wait and let the last song on a cd finish b4 it switches to the next cd. Also please post if the Clarion magazines work, I'd probably pick up a couple. TY

The "TUNE" button on the face of the radio moves from CD to CD. As far as I know you can do it from the wheel controls.

Check the Mercury website, supposed to be Alpine. Alpine and Pioneer make a lot of factory units.

I just found this site
Radios and more (http://www.radiosandmore.com/prod_detail.asp?pn=3F1T-18c833-AA) .

I have never done business with them but $20 + $6 s.h. sounds good to me.

I bought a used MM and it did not have a CD Magazine. I ordered one from Radios and More. Showed up the next day and works great. Highly recommended! Note that the part number I ordered was 3F1T-18C833-AA. What I got was 3F1T-18C833-AB. Not sure what the difference is but it does not seem to make any difference to the CD changer.

I also spoke to one of their tech guys. They seem to know what they are doing and are a great source for factory audio parts.

Great Price! When I had to order two from the dealer in July of 2002, they were $76.00 apiece!:bigcry:

$76 is better than my dealer. I got quoted $108. Airfilter is $21 and I see other threads with prices in the $5-9 range. Getting ripped here....
