I have a po190 engine code. It says fuel rail pressure sensor but i have ruled out the pressure sensor it self and i dont see any signs of leaks. At about half throttle you can feel the engine shutter once or twice like it needs more fuel. Also it is a trilogy marauder and does have the kenne bell boost o pump. Can anyone give me some pointers. Thanks

How did you rule out the FRPS?

I just replaced mine after it threw P0190's on the way to and from MVX. According to the Ford store, these are a known weak point in Ford engines, so I replaced it.

I bet your dropping fuel pressure. What fuel pump is in car? Dattalog it and it will point out your problem.

I had the P0190 when one of the pumps managed to disconnect itself(both of mine are in the tank)... My guess is one of your Pumps are weak or has a electrical issues, could also be the fuel line from in tank pump to hat has a leak......

i will check fuel filter next since it is cheap and i changed the frps already. its easy fixing broken stuff but hard to fix when you dont know whats broke.

The test for a defective FRPS is to install a test mechanical pressure gauge on the fuel rail. See what it reads vs what the FRPS says. If they are off, bad FRPS. If pressure is the same, pump/filter issues....

I datalogged 60psi at idle after driving awhile, but when I turn the car off and came back it was the regular 40psi. Does that mean my fps is going bad?

I threw that code back in July. Replaced the FPS, and no more codes. BTW, Sea Foam in your tank is a good thing....fixed my crappy idle at cold start, and the car runs like a beast. Everyone I talk to in the store swears by Sea Foam....
And Pro-Long seems to quiet it down as well...

On my Eaton swap. My car was idling at 60psi and while driving it was all over.

I checked and rechecked everything fuel related and air related. Finally replaced my FPRS and all was back to normal.

Known issue, have it adjusted in the tune, assuming fuel pressure is good.
