Okay,

My DTR is going in to a shop on Friday to have a good handful of dents removed from her due to a recent hail storm.

In a previous thread, I mentioned having it done, and that whole deal fell thru. I cannot put into words how pissed I was at the guy not returning my phone calls.

He doesn't want my money as it seems, and someone else does.

Nonetheless, I found another PDR guy, took the MM to him, and after an hour of shooting the shat, elected to have Shannon do the repair.

This Friday morning, he will begin his magic. And according to him, will take approximately 7 - 8 hours to perform.

Although the damage isn't THAT bad, he is a perfectionist, and will remove the headliner, hood and the tail lights for easier access and proper "shaping" of the dents.

This, and along with the recent mods to my DTR, and getting ahold of some Croftgate supplies that are new to the market, I am totally stoked in getting her back Friday evening, and throwing a lotta love her way.

Thereafter, an oil change, CAI filter cleaning/recharge, MAF cleaning and full tank of 93, she'll be all set!

Also gonna pull the trigger for some bling as well.

Stay tuned...

:D

In order to save your paint, strategically placed foam rubber and a hammer, gave Shannon an example to practice with.

May not be in the same condition, IF, I return it to you, (considering you torched my Fusion), but who'll notice?

:D

Why does it seem so hard to buy goods, hire services, ETC. in the last few years? I have almost had to chase people down to take my money.. Seems like the economy hasn't affected many.

Good question Bob, and I do not have an answer for you.

Paul, at Precision Auto in Mt. Washington KY, would not return my calls nor confirm the date we set to have the dents removed.

Therefore, I went elsewhere.

IF, Paul ever calls me back, he WILL receive an earfull for sure.

Charlotte recommended I go to him, as he does good work. Well, he wasn't interested, and he will most likely get an earfull from her as well. (He will not enjoy that in the least either)

That's how we roll..

Why waste your breath on him? He dose not want your/the money and you went elsewhere, his loss. If in the future people bring up his name or ask you for a referal tell them not to go to him. Case closed.

He will NOT get a referal from me to say the least.

I even mentioned to him, this would be a great opportunity for free advertisement if it worked out, and would post my recommendation on MM.net.

Ain't happenin' now...

What makes it even more frustrating is the fact that I will be paying cash!

No credit card, no check, no Insurance Co. involvement.

You are correct Gordon. His loss. Not mine.

Dropped my MM off this morning, and hung out for a while to watch Shannon work on the hood after helping him remove it from the car.

Thus far, I am totally impressed with his work, and the hood is now straighter than hell.

With his lights strategically placed, there were imperfections in the metal that I never knew existed.

The operative word being.. "were".

:D

Charlotte met me there, and we just got back to my place after a huge breffas at....

Waffle House!

I'll post back after I pick it up this afternoon.

As of now, I got the right guy working on it.

I totally get why Shannon removed the hood after watching him work.

Got the car back today, and can now say that I have a dent guy from here on out.

Shannon did an outstanding job removing the dents, even ones that I didn't know existed.

His philosophy... "While I'm in there, I'll get whatever ones I find."

My estimate of $450.00 was un-affected by the additional dents found. Not one penny more.

If any of you guys are rolling thru Louisville, and need a few dents repaired. Look this guy up. You won't be disappointed.

Dang, that stings LOL.

I've got a 94 Cobra I've been working on. It runs and drives now, and its finally one color. I was hoping to get out to a DCMC cruise but it didn't happen. Anything coming up soon?

COMPLETELY :Offtopic: BUT....

I'm participating in a forecast challenge...over 60 universities involved and over 1700 students 'playing'. We change cities every two weeks...we started forecasting for Louisville on Tuesday.

As of midnight tonight, I'm ranked #14 out of 1700+

I love Looseville!

Glad you found a guy you can trust, Mike....might hit him up during the next Looseville...
