View Full Version : New from Houston
I lurked here years ago day dreaming about buying a Marauder....one Grand Marquis and a CV Sport later, I finally have one as of yesterday....2003 300A 36K garage-kept, cold stock. The car, especially the interior, looks showroom new. Seemed to be a collector's car with all the original brochures, keys etc. but not anymore! I plan to take it out to a local track (MSR Houston) for some runs after some cautionary maintenance, oil change (synthetic?), transmission fluid, tires check, brake check etc. Maybe also a radiator flush and I didn't like the looks of the no-name battery. I ordered an AFE Pro Dry air filter, but that's all I'm planning on the "performance" front for now. Truth be told, the first of my my teenage sons that takes a real interest will get Marauder rights and track time.

Welcome to the collective,
Check in to a tune and 4.10's to really wake the car up.

Welcome!
+1 on the tune for sure..It nicely wakes up the car and shifting in the transmission. Total plug and play, can be done over the phone and the UPS man and you retain the orignal factory settings in case for any dealer service or emissions testing. It is done thru an SCT tuner thru the OBDII port. We have two recommended proven vendors here with tunes ready for a Marauder. Marty from MO's Speed shop and Lidio from Alternative Automotive. I had a MO"s tune before I went to his shop and had a centrifugal blower installed. I am sure LIdio's tune is just as good. Around $400 or so of the best dollars spent for simple upgrades with very nice results.

Sounds like a cool BIG 3 you got there . Enjoy reading tons of good information on the site about your car .
Thanks for the warm welcome and Step One advice! My first impression is "Why did I wait so long?" I have a 2004 CV Sport also and love the car, but this is in another league all together.....and I have FINALLY impressed my truck-driving wife a car purchase.
