Sct x3 update

I was on the SCT site tonight and noticed a firmware update released today for the X3 handheld tuner. I thought I would update my X3 just to keep it up to speed, when starting the firmware update it states "be sure to return vechicle to stock tune before installing update". Am I guessing correct that this would delete any installed tunes on the tuner?

I had my SCT updated and what you read is correct //You take the handheld unit and return it to Stock program. Disconnect the Sct from the under dash and go to your computer ,use the cable that came with the SCt and plug it in to the computer and follow the Web instructions. Believe me it made a improvement with mine [ more wheel spin ,less chirp ]

It won't delete any custom tunes you have. Don't know about tunes from sct.
It did add a new key on/off routine to my programming the vehicle.

D. R. only gave me one tune [ 93 octane ]. or Custom tune = only //// .. I returned the car to Stock . Took the programer to the house and plug and played:cool4:
