yes I have no idea as to what to charge for a core so this will be required, I must have your old transmission back, I am trying to keep two in stock here at all times

Dennis how's your schedule looking for March 14/15/16?

I'm seriously considering driving down there to get this ***** fixed once and for all... get a custom dynotune done as well in one shot as long as I got ahold of you.

What do you think?

BTW, for anyone who's interested in Dennis's offer on the group buy of P.I. Stallion Torque converters that he made in his first post in this thread, I highly recommend it. The P.I. company garantees a minimum ET reduction of .50 sec in the 1/4 mile, and I can tell you that I've obtained a .70 sec ET reduction by installing this converter. And that infact was the best single reduction out of all the mods I've performed to my Marauder.

Dennis:

I have a 2000 Vic with the 4R70W and the stock stacked plate tranny cooler.
Will the Stallion fit? Their site only lists AOD, AODE, E4OD, and 4R100 converters.

I was told to go with a 3000 RPM single disc Stallion or a 3500 RPM multi-disc Stallion... what should i get for a daily driver / weekend drag race car?
I have a list of mods for my car if you need additional info?

Out of curiosity, how does the PI 3000 stall speed torque converter affect daily drivability? Is it going to behave any different compared to the stock torque converter, and how will it change my driving experience? Also, will it work fine with the 4R75W in the 04's?

SOVAPID, I was going to try to catch up to your 1/4 mile time with the drag radials I just got mounted, but with the PI TC you are talking about ordering, I guess you'll be in the 12's. I would love to keep up with you and order one as well, but its not in my budget at this time. Maybe next year! Good luck.

This is a good mod for the buck. Dennis installed mine last week, and I'm more than satisifed with not only the install, but the way the car responds. It revs up quicker, shifts better, rpm stays more constant through the shift range. It also seems that the less slippage provided by this mod, has increased my MPG.......

Is there a noticable difference than having just the SCT (superchips tuner) program that corrects the tranny behavior?

Glenn

The PI TC is the cheapest way to reduce your ET by 0.5 second. It was a great mod. IMO it's worth at least 50 or more HP. You do not notice any difference from stock except when you nail the gas. Coupled with the 4:10 gears it is the best two mods you can make besides the UDPs. (The ONLY mod on the MM you really need is just the S/C, if you can afford it.) I highly recommend it after 3000 miles and yes, I too believe it has helped my MPG. I did not measure any drop in gas mileage with the gears and TC. One nice advantage is tire burn on demand.

In addition, my HP did not drop as expected with the gears. My latest dyno pull was 272 RWHP and 290 RWTQ at Team Ford on 6/19 with only the modest mods indicated below. The Cobra E/S is next and I hope to pick-up 15-20 HP with my stock mufflers. I will do a dyno after the install to check against my 272 RWHP and report.

are we talking about the tripleplate or the single plate as being best for daily driving and occasional track use?

are we talking about the tripleplate or the single plate as being best for daily driving and occasional track use?
I installed a single plate on my first N/A MM two years ago, and it's was worth every penny of that investment. I maintained my MPG at 22-23 despite all the other mods usually thought to cause a loss of MPG. No disappointment here, I'd buy one again.

My second MM, the Kenny Brown #1 came with the first triple plate built by PI for the MM. It performs as well, but has some "side effects," such as chatter at idle, and demanding only Merkon V fluid.

If you're not supercharged and/or racing on a regular basis, IMHO the single plate will deliver your performance without a hitch. Zack's been pounding on his single plate, and he's running some great times without any problems.

Durable, and PI is a great company to deal with, Terry is a real prince.

I am getting confused. Is this the triple or the single disc PI for $725?
I assume it will work in my Mark with the 98 4r70w ?
Other stall speeds available (3200) ?

Well don't get confused its a 3000 single disk if you want a tripple disc the cost is 900.00
