So I'm sitting around last night flipping between the World Series and "Wheeler Dealers" on the tube, and they're doing a Jaguar XK-8.
Edd, the mechanic, starts talking about an "engine decarbonizer.

Kind of interesting, so today I do some online searching and what do you know...a you tube video.

The test cars are a mustang, and to my surprise a MARAUDER!!!!...

So what you think? Anybody ever done this? Wondering about the cost?

Saw that episode too and it peaked my interest. I'm wondering if its that fuel injector clean out service that dealerships suggest after 50k miles.

We do one similar here, does the same thing, around $130 or so. We do a 3 part kit, run that crap through the engine, add a different can to the tank, and hose out the throttle body and intake. It works really well, and is worth it......IF everything is actually dirty.

Looks like a great product. Used it on seafoam on my lawn mower and picked up three more lawns.
Great fine.
Was not my MM.

Very interesting but they are using some fancy words like

Columbic Fractionation now how many times has that come up in conversation lets see what it means

Columbic - A organic acid extracted from the columbo root as a bitter, yellow, amorphous substance

Fractionation - Separation of a mixture of hydrocarbons into fractions with different boiling point ranges by heating crude oil in a column that is cooler at the top than at the bottom - 'fractions' are removed from the column at different heights where the temperature is different.

It may be real but i would need to see the proof untill than confusing words just spell garbage

I saw this done on Wheeler Dealers. It looked like it worked based on before and after exhaust sniffer results. It's new technology so it may be a while before we start seeing it advertised around here.

That was Sean Hyland doing the dyno, some of the tests and was probably his shop.

I too saw the same Wheeler Dealers episode tbone; the only problem is that they have been leaving way too much stuff out of their our hour long episodes! One minute Edd is showing "us" a tip, the next minute the repair is complete & the vehicle polished & waxed! :help:

That Marauder looked purty flying down the road in the video...almost like it was a bit faster than the posted limit!

With just some fiddly bits but, now, everything is sorted.

Watching Ed work on a Fiat Dino now (I LOVE Bertone design.)
