Are you guys telling me my adjustable pedals are going to break? I have already had all of the other climate control failures we all know about. :(

I guess I better check this when I get home. Anyone care to describe the problem?

Here's the deal, you push the pedal button and you hear the motor click but the pedals don't move. There is a plastic gear inside the brake pedal housing that cracks and won't let it move. Ford sells the repair piece (a whole pedal assembly) for about $130 - $150....the only issue is the brand new one still has a plastic gear and it will break again. The one I had made is brass...no more broken parts!

Are you talking about holding the new gear onto the threaded shaft? If so it works fine.

Nope. He is not, all they make at this shop is gears. They have all kinds of equipment that I had never seen before to make gears...pretty cool actually.

*I replaced my pedal assembly (at triple the cost of this permanent fix)...and I fully expect it to fail again! But I have ordered a Curless Cure so I'm not worried.:cool:
