So on my way to ATL the power steering craps out again, took it to Mo's yesterday and we R&Rd the new steering pump, no joy, pulled the VAP switch, no debris in it and it test fired on the bench just fine.
Put it back on and the air ride light came on and stayed on.
checked all fuses, moved relays around and couldn't get air ride back, the compressor won't run and bags are fully vented (i think)
Leave Mo's go to 6 Flags and on the way steering operation improved immensely.
Leaving 6 flags the air bag light went out but compressor didn't run and car stayed down.
Then about 5 miles from my hotel the steering went full assist. Like driving my old 66 New Yorker.
This morning, no air ride light and no air ride operation.
Steering is stiff at low speeds.
Has anyone had trouble with the air suspension module and if so, would it also affect the VAPs in the steering

Yes, the RAS and the VAPS are controlled by the same module. It's behind the glove box.

Ding ding ding, glad you suggested it, because I was ready to. Aren't computer controlled vehicles great?

We have heard that somewhere before.

Hopefully the module will show a fault when it is tested on Monday and the module is cheap.

Have you look at the wiring harness behind the drivers side cam cover?

Check the harness at the left front near the air compressor.
