The heated seat isn't working. I'll push one of the power buttons and the light comes on, but quickly shuts off. Switch or other nefarious problem? Thanks!

Eat some sauerkraut or beans. You have to prime it.

I believe that there is a module that controls the heated seats, I may have an extra.

Mine is no longer working either! When I turn my switch on, the light stays on. It must be the heat coil or whatever it is that warms up the seat that is bad!!! Not fun here in MN right now! Its been below zero for a few days now!

It's most likely the heating element in the drivers seat.

The heating element went out in my Taurus and it did the same thing, pushed the switch and within a few seconds it would turn off. Had it replaced under warranty and it was the element.

How much would a repair like that cost?

Jake, if yours has a defective driver's seat, it's irreparable. Sell me the car for $8.

Mine is working just fine thanks. :P

I was just curious what this type of repair would cost at the dealership.

From day one mine never felt like they warmed up much anyway. isn't this a known issue. My wife's car can build up some real heat. In the MM the door switches flicker on and off all the time but the seats never really get "warm"

Probably the coil(s) under the seat cover or the heated seat module. If you have power from the switch to the coil(s) then I'd say the coil is on its way out or the module is bad.

$100 in parts, probably 3-$500 in labor, I have disassembled marauder seats, not a real picnic
