View Full Version : A Thought for the Spring

Jeff and I were having dinner this evening and discussing how we missed being at SSHS this year.
We were also discussing that if we had been there Jeff could have helped our Marauder guys practice their track techniques and take advantage of their car's true potential.
So we were thinking maybe in the Spring we would set up a gathering at Steele, Alabama, where we know the track folks pretty well.
Jeff would be able to ride along in the cars and coach the drivers on their techniques.
If this is something you might be interested, post up here so I can gauge interest and we can start thinking about setting something up.

Not gonna lie and not gonna be ashamed. I've spent the money on this beast. I WILL LEARN what she can do! I don't mind being coached! Count me in!

This is a great idea. We need more active members on the first timeslip page.

I'm in! But I'm not as good of a host as Brad (Ponyup). I don't think everybody can stay at my house.

There seems to be good interest in this. Start posting up some date preferences. If I recall Steele is usually a Sunday track.

I'm interested....if I'm going to school, I vote second weekend in March; if I'm working housing construction with my buddies, any weekend will do, but I am planning on going to the KY meet (tentatively scheduled for 1st weekend in April) as well as the BOC in Charlotte (first weekend in May).

I have to admit, that is a bit far for me even trailering---after two weekend trips to and from your shop ---has me spent for now and awhile....I would have to see what dates are set and what is going on on my schedule and consider what all is involved with the plan. Right now I feel more practice with my burns and the rest is then all car performance or not.....not a lot to persuade such along trip for right now. The proposition is great however--like all--wishing it was closer to ones own home.

Yep.
We are going to look at having a Mo's friends and customers day at the track. Cars, gas and food. Not necessarily in that order. :D
