Hello forum. My dad just picked up a black 03 Marauder with 55k on it. Not sure if it's a 300A or 300B, will have to take a closer look later.
Got some pictures today.

The vin ends in 6239. I found a cruise/carshow dash plaque stuck to the under side of the console lid. It said 2nd Annual Eastern Meet. Raid on Rock 'n Roll. Cleveland, Ohio [something along those lines]. Does anyone recognize this car?

Don't worry, I am well versed in the world of automotive forums. I currently own a Jeep Wrangler and used to have a 97 Trans Am. I will try to get pictures tomorrow. I'm from the Youngstown area. I think an enthusiast was a previous owner, because I found a car cruise dash plaque on the center arm rest and the rear Marauder inset has reflective lettering in it. But the rest of the vehicle seems bone stock.

Sweet. I am from Struthers/Youngstown. But have lived in Chicago since 1980.
Nice to see a fellow Buckeye from the same area. Perhaps will see ya cruising around that area some day.

Welcome :welcome1: to the MM.Net.
Here's the reference on the 300A vs. 300B question when you get around to checking >>>>> http://www.mercurymarauder.net/forums/showthread.php?t=31102
The quickest and easiest way to know if it is an '03 300A is whether it has the finger bulge on the gas door. No bulge is a 300A (means there's a remote fuel door release). Finger bulge means '03 300B (or 2004) because the gas door is manually opened.

The car must be a 300A then. It has the button release on the drivers door, M75 in the vin and he dot matrix above the mirror.

All '03 have M75 in the VIN, isn't just a A/B thing...
BTW welcome...

That is the Regional Meet that Barry/CRUZTAKER hosted in 21-23 May 2004.
Details here >>>> http://www.mercurymarauder.net/forums/showthread.php?t=8159&highlight=fame
Based on the 16-18 attendees, I suspect this might be one of the three cars below:
murader03 -- started life in Delaware (based on the Martyo fender flags, this one is my best guess, sold Nov 2009)
Hack Goby -- Michigan
Mad 3-R -- started in Virginia and moved to DFW Texas (this one had a 5.0 stroker)
Who was the female owner from east of Cleveland? Remember talking to her at Barry's, Not BAJA (Barb), possibly before her time.
found her... jbr927, from Warren, OH, Vet Tech. member during that time.
Does Jolly Roger still have his?
Was Mike and Barb Poore there?

BAJA (Barb) had a Blue MM.
Mike Poore was Silver Birch.
Not familiar with jbr927 or Jolly Roger at all.
